Versatile portable thermal printer
I recently got this 300 DPI monochrome thermal printer, and it's quite impressive! In case you're unfamiliar, thermal printers are the ones commonly used in stores for printing receipts that tend to fade over time. You know, the kind of receipt you saved and later found almost blank after a year? Yes, that one. These printers utilize thermal paper, not the regular stuff you use in standard printers. This Colorwing printer is a portable device, weighing around 1.5 lbs., and it's compatible with iOS, Android, Windows, MacOS, and Linux. This is my third thermal printer – I already own a smaller Phomemo shipping label printer and an even tinier mini sticker printer. What makes this one stand out is its adjustable settings for different paper sizes. The printer only supports black printing, so no color options here. You can use thermal paper rolls (it comes with one), folded thermal sheets, or individual sheets ranging from 2 inches wide to US Letter size. To load the paper, just press the two buttons on the front to open the top. Charging the 2600mAh battery is straightforward with the included USB-C cable, which also allows direct connection to a computer for printing. Setup was easy. Since I already had the app on my phone for the other printers, it was just a matter of adding the new one from the list and it was ready to print in an instant. The app itself, while it has several templates and options to play around with, could be better.Overall, I appreciate this printer for its compact size and versatility. With five print size options, it could potentially replace the other two, although I'll likely keep them for now. I'm uncertain about the lifespan of this printer, but I'm curious to see how it holds up. Keep in mind that direct thermal prints might fade over time, especially with exposure to sunlight or heat.

Great!
This replaces my old M08F thermal printer. This is a solid, compact and excellent printer for my agency's needs. The only con is the little clips inside that is used to change what paper width you're using. If you lose one of those clips, you're in a bit of trouble. I solved this by replicating this part so you can 3d print it. It's available at Thingiverse: "M832 Roll Clip" #6868253.

I really wanted this printer to work
The printer worked perfect from bluetooth the first day I tried it from my phone. Next I got it working with my pc for work. Then the third time I used it from my PC it was giving me out of paper errors. So I'd open the cover pull the paper out a little bit more put the cover down, still nothing. Then out of the blue. This last I was trying to print documents from my pc. It didn't want to connect I had to completely reconnect and get it back online for it to print one page and then it would list out of paper even though there is continuous paper in the feed. Still trying to fix that issue All of a sudden the printer just shut off and will not turn back on. I can't return it because it's past the returnable date but this is so disappointing in this product. I would not recommend at this time. I will try and find a more reliable brand.

Great portable Thermal printer
I really like this new portable thermal printer. It’s made things a lot easier particularly when on the go.This thing is very small and lightweight. It makes it really easy to take with you wherever you go.It’s a thermal printer so it does not require any ink or toner. That means no mess and no hassle. It uses thermal and thermal process to imprint onto the paper. Prints comes out looking very good and I’m satisfied with it.Set up is really easy to either a phone or a laptop. I had no problem with either. The drivers I was printing in no time.It will print a single page or multiple pages, which is really nice. It also has the ability to use rolled thermal printer paper for a continuous sprint, but I didn’t use that and I don’t have any of that paper so I can’t speak to it. But I’m sure it would work well as it does with the normal pages of thermal paper.Good printer. I highly recommend it.

Could not connect with usb-c to macbook, clunky with iPhone
My current printer takes up a lot of space in my tiny office so I was looking for something with a smaller footprint. I was hoping this might work as a replacement, but it's not really viable. The product video seemed to imply you could run regular printer paper through it manually, one page at a time from the back, but I haven't been able to figure that out. It just always gives the red light when I try that. There's a roll of thermal printer paper included, so I used that. The instructions are pretty minimal. It just said "Follow the steps to load paper roll properly", but there are no steps to follow, just a rather ambiguous picture (see pic.) But I apparently got that right because it gave me the green light.I downloaded the driver, connected it to my laptop with a usb-c cable, and got a dialog box asking me to allow it to connect to my laptop, which I allowed. But no matter what I try, I can't find that printer as an option.I tried it from my iPhone, and after downloading the app and going through some not-very-intuitive steps, I got it to print an image from my camera roll. I wasn't able to print a PDF from a webpage. Printing one page was pretty slow and noisy, a long groaning noise as it slowly spat out the copy. It took about 30 seconds. The paper is thin and doesn't lie flat, so it's not like a pleasant feeling thing you'd want to keep, but for printing something urgent on the road, this could work.
