Nokta Score Metal Detector for Adults - Fully Waterproof, Rechargeable, Multi-Frequency, Easy-to-Use Detectors for Treasure Hunting (Score)

Wanted a upgrade to a basic detector bought a couple of years ago, the Nokta is a great mid range detector and I like the multi-frequency feature allowing for more hits, its really light which is nice and is especially good for beach detecting with a specific setting to deal with mineralisation. battery life and charging are superb and its not overly complicated. some negative things to note, the pinpoint feature is not the best I feel as you have to hold the button in which is quite stiff and difficult and you have to sweep the item from several directions to get a idea of location whereas my other (cheaper) detector had a really good pinpoint that would signal the item location in the center of the coil in a couple of sweeps. the multifrequency does not interact well with a handheld pinpointer meaning you have to either shut the detector off every time or put it several feet away when using a handheld which is annoying. Nokta could do with a few quality of life amendments to the Score but on the whole for the money its a good detector.

Misding parts

Box was damaged when it arrived, manual was slipped into a zip lock bag that was too small for it and it looked suspiciously like a returned item.Tried it out and the target ID is all over the place. Absolutely no consistency between similar items.Found more rusty nails than anything else.Was on a beach in beach mode in it's hitting ghost targets that just aren't there.Depth indicator only says no bars or all 5 bars, nothing in between.Backlight comes on when it wants.I'm really disappointed for what should have been a great detector, what I received is not what I have seen from other reviews.I'll email nokta and update this review accordingly...But at the moment it's close to being returned in favour of my 50 quid detector from lidl that performs to the same level.
