The bumper protector is great rubber quality, but the adhesive tape DOES NOT WORK. I decided to remove it, which it peeled off unbelievably easy. Next, I used a spray degreaser (gun cleaner) to remove any oils. Regular isopropyl alcohol should work too. Once it dried, I used 1-inch wide 3M strong double-sided tape and cut 3 strips to cover one side, then 3 strips to cover the other side. This will allow me to press it down firmly, starting from the center to the end...working on one half of the protector at a time. I did a test fitment beforehand, so it looked great, and no clearance issues with the tailgate. This is a nice protector and looked great based on the pre-fitment. Final install was easy to guide along the top edge of the bumper, keeping the end higher as it was pressed down. See pics attached.

I read a lot of reviews of this before buying. What most stuck out was the adhesive was not very good. I bought one and did what should be done. I left it for two days on the dashboard of my truck in the heat to lay nice and flat. Next I placed on a very, very clean bumper and removed the air pockets.......I did this on a day I knew was going to be hot again. Bingo...... The heat did it's job and smoothed it out completely and adhered it very nicely to the bumper.

Looks slick but the adhesive isn’t the strongest.. I’d like to use it as a grip as well as for looks, however with the first adhesive layer that it came with, it easily slid off.. a quick trip to the orange store, n a new heavier adhesive strip later.. works great! Rubber seems to be holding up well! Just annoying needed to put more work into what should have been a 5minute max application!

I'm really glad that I came upon this. I needed something to cover some scratches and it worked well. Peel and stick. It has a super strong hold, and looks good.

My back bumper was pretty dinged up from hauling stuff in and out of my car. I applied this strip and not only did it cover a lot of the dings, but it is preventing any new damage. It attaches very strong and I didn’t get it perfect but I’m very happy with it.

I bought this this last winter after witnessing my dog mis-step on my back bumper, slip, and totally face plant the concrete when she was getting out of my car's hatchback. She was ok, and only had a bruised ego I guess but it scared me. I was leary of the adhesive as I have been disappointed with other industrial rubber mats becoming gross and slimy as they aged. So far, it has held through wet, snowy, and sub-0 temps, and summer (in the 90's and hit 102 degrees F) is almost over and it hasn't shrunk and left any gross residue. My dog is more confident getting in and out of the car since I put it on. I feel at ease as well. This product has served VERY well so far.

Plusieurs personnes se sont plaintes de l'adhérence ou de différent problème dans les commentaires.1-Nettoyer la surface à coller à fond! Pas de cire!2-Il y a suffisamment de tape double face, ce problème a été réglé. En ajouter encore un peu pour donner de la marge serait intéressant. J'ai utilisé environ 20cm en plus de ce qui est fourni pour bien fermer les extrémités, par caprice.3-il est plié en 4 quand livré. AUCUNE MARQUE DE PLIURE, ce problème est réglé aussi. Juste déplier et laisser la chaleur ambiante redonner une forme souple et plate.J'ai laissé tempérer avant de mettre le tape à l'intérieur (il fait -10c dehors) en laissant la 2e protection pour pouvoir le positionner, la carosserie était froide, j'ai soigneusement nettoyé avec de l'alcool à isopropylique 50%, séché à fond, avant d'appliquer le tape refroidissant à la carosserie glaciale, et l'adhérence est très bonne. Nettoyez votre surface.Le caoutchouc est mince, on peut l'amener à prendre une courbe, procéder doucement, prendre son temps pour placer avant de commencer à coller.Easy peasy. Avec le temps je verrai si ça résiste au températures hivernale et à l'épreuve.J'ai un Dodge Journey, la taille est parfaite. J'ai formé la courbe moi-même en collant, ça couvre exactement. Possible de tailler les bouts un peu pour les plus petits VUS sans perdre le visuel.
