Security Camera Mounting Made Easy
I you want a fast way to get a camera up and mostly out of reach this is a great little item to have. Simply loosen the two mounting screws, place it over the gutter, tighten, choose the proper camera mount stud and mount your camera. If as in my case, you do have gutter covers, you will first have to loosen up the section where you want to place the mount. This mount seems to hold my nest camera pretty securely and it is not a lightweight. I am happy with this product.

Great mount. Sturdy, and can be reversed to put item above the gutter
I have a number of solar lights and security cameras scattered around the perimeter of our house, and the edges of the gutters are ideal locations for the solar panels for these items (at least those that have detachable solar panels).This mount is perfect for this installation, and moreover, the mount itself can be reversed, to face upwards, by just unscrewing it, and moving the mount to the other side. This gets the solar panel ABOVE the gutter and roofline. Much better.This is a very flexible mount. The only negative, and this isn't the fault of the mount, is we have gutter guards installed, and these make it more challenging to clip this mount over the edge of the gutter.Highly recommended.

Great For Mounting My SimpliSafe Outdoor Cameras To Gutters
I bought these to mount my SimpliSafe Outdoor Cameras to my gutters and they've worked perfectly for that purpose. The 1/4" thread screw is perfect for the Outdoor Camera and the mount itself is more than sturdy enough to hold it attached to the gutter. The mount hasn't so much as budged even after high winds, leaves and branches falling, etc.I don't know that I'd buy more SimpliSafe cameras but I'd definitely buy this mount again if I needed to mount anything with a 1/4" threaded insert.
