perfect, right out of the box
I wanted a laser for my M&P that didn't require me to change holsters, and this fit the bill. Took less than a minute to install, including popping in the batteries (requires two lithium CR2032 batteries to work). It goes in just like a stock backstrap, and like others have said, feels like something in between the medium and large backstraps. I find it comfortable, but my wife, who uses the small backstrap, feels like it's too large for her hands.I was actually a bit nervous about how well this laser would work for me, being left handed. I had heard from other users that shooting left handed often blocked the laser, but after gripping it and shooting several magazines' worth of ammo through it, I honestly don't see how that's possible. My thumb never blocks the laser, and my knuckle settles in comfortably well below it.As to the accuracy, it was sighted in exactly where I wanted it straight out of the box. That's been the case, as I understand, for many other users. I still would recommend going to the range and sighting it in for the distance you want (mine is at 25 yards, well beyond what I'd consider a "self defense" distance). I used a bore laser, found it to be right where I needed it, and didn't mess with it. If you find that you need to adjust the windage or elevation, the laser comes with the necessary allen keys to make the adjustments.

Must have for Blackhawk Holster Users
Installed in seconds and worked. I will update this review after I have field tested it. So far it looks like very good craftsmanship and it fit like a glove. Laser is clear with good range. Manual states all are factory sighted to 50 ft. We will see... A real test of any laser is 100+ rounds and it stays on target but I can not speak to that yet. I would buy another one without field testing because I believe it is quality. This solved a problem I had. I am a Blackhawk Serpa Holster user. In order to use any of my front mounted lasers I could not holster the gun without trying to find some kind of custom holster solution. Problem solved. If you own a SW MP 40 full size you wont regret getting this.

M&P Pro 40 Crimson Lasergrip
Excellent product. Required no adjustment, installed in 5 minutes. Very comfortable, very easy to operate and control when you want laser actually on by grip pressure. On/off switch takes a bit getting used to as there is no felt or audible click, but easily tested by squeezing grip. Definitely like the rear grip actuator better than side grip actuator I have tried in the past. Will purchase same grips soon for another pistol

Great on M&P 2.0
Great grip for the M&P. For some reason Crimson Trace says it's not for the 2.0, I find it to be a prefect fit. When firing the weapon I can see the laser on my finger but it is not deflected at all. Easy to sight in with a bore sight, works really well. Also I like the fact it has a master on off button as well.Another thing I like about Crimson Trace is if you call them with an issue they WILL make it right.

Junk
Ok to start, I have other crimson trace lasers and have no issues with themThese, however, for the record, function fine once you get them installedYou guys have some balls charging that kind of money for a dime store laxer. I will assume most of the cost goes into design function to a certain pistol. What you sent me was a laxer that batteries have to be installed AND secure to attach to the gun. There is NO way that is happening with this design. I wound up having to use packing tape to hold YOUR batteries in place to make it work. I’d send them back but they are on and working, but it says a lot about your QC to let crap like this out the door. It appears your mold die is backwards, as If you put the batteries in backwards it secures them just fine, Pretty disappointing from crimson trace. I buy a lot of guns, next time I’ll try another laxer

Fantastic Product
I can't say enough good about this laser. It is very accurate, its easy to put on and off of the gun and it comes on instictively. If you are looking for a laser for your M&P this is what what you want. Everything is 100% housed withn the grip, which comes on and off just as easily as your interchangable grips already do. I don't know one single thing to warn you about other than when you use it, you are going to want one for every M&P you have.Happy Shootin.

Great laser, easy to install...a couple small points to be aware of.
Works well, fits great, easy to install. It does make the grip a little bit wider in the hand. It doesn't bother me, but it is noticeable. My only complaint is that the button is on the backstrap in a place that is a little bit exposed, so depending on how you carry, it may activate if something presses against it. Also, there is a master off switch, but that does not stop the battery from draining when the button is pressed...so if you are shooting without the laser, you are still draining battery...and if you are carrying in such a way that the button is activated, you may find that your battery is dead when draw, whether you have the master switch on or off.

Awesome Product
Awesome product. Quickly shipped and received. Crimson trace is second to none. I own a few of their products for a few different guns, and every one of them stands up as advertised. Yes, they are expensive, but worth every penny. The laser never gets off zero for me, even after taking it off and putting it back on the gun multiple times. It's also incredibly bright. If you wear glasses or have problems picking up your iron sights in low light, or just want a very solid, well made laser...just stop thinking about it and buy it already.
