Pelican 1150 Camera Case With Foam (Orange)

Basically bulletproof, inexpensive, and a Zippo warranty, what's not to love?I got this case to keep my Olympus EPL6, spare batteries, and a few extra lenses. This it does perfectly. The handle works and folds down unobtrusively, the latches engage in a positive and reassuring manner, and the build quality is what you would expect from a Pelican product, that is to say, remarkable.That brings me to the only thing I don't like about this product; the pick and pluck foam. Most video and photo professionals I know don't use the foam for long. It tends to break up and be a lot more irritating than it's worth to deal with. You're better off having someone make a hot-wire cut foam insert if you intend too put anything too expensive or delicate in this case, but that is a lot of work for a $20 case. For most applications, the foam works fine. Just be careful setting it up, and don't rush. But don't expect to be able to take things in and out of the case frequently and not see it shed small squares of foam.Overall, this product is exactly what anybody would ever want from a small portable, waterproof, buoyant, and generally indescribable case. The bright orange helps it stand out in a sea of black cases on set, and helps you keep track of it a lot better, I've found.

I purchased my Pelican 1150 case to protect my recent purchace of a CountyComm GP-5/SSB ultralight portable radio.I use the radio for multi-band DXing in the field and I hike to some pretty gnarly areas looking trying to tune in interesting long distant broadcasts, so I needed something TOUGH in case either myelf or my GP-5/SSB took a nasty header.I couldn't be happier than I am with the Pelican 1150! The stated interior dimension are exact. The "pick and pluck" foam is limitlessly customizeable and provides serious shock absorption.The case itself is TRULY watertight (tested and forcefully submerged-bone dry after 5 minutes).It is EXTREMELY crush-proof. Made of what appears to be the same material as my old, indestructible 'Tuff Stuff' toys were made of. If I couldn't destroy this stuff when I was 7, I certainly can't do it now!The lid hinge is solid, no play and the articulated latches snap in place with authority and STAY closed.The one way vapor valve should prove invaluable when stowed in aircraft cargo bays on flights and the blaze orange color will make it a veritable impossibility to lose in the underbrush!And a rare and excellent selling point? They're made right here in the good ol' U.S of A.!I would happily pay double for this kind of quality and protection. (But I'm really glad I don't have to!).Got something to protect? Look no further than Pelican cases. I'll never buy another brand again.

This is a very nice and sturdy case. Larger than I anticipated. Using it to store an expensive retro handheld gaming console. Possible overkill.

I found this when looking for a case for my Nitecore Tiny Monster flashlight. I was pointed towards this product from a friend of mine. Not only did the product arrive VERY fast, but the pick n pack foam that's included made for a custom fit. I was able to get my flashlight, charger and two sets of 18650 rechargable batteries. Add to all this, the orange color is PERFECT for what this light is for. I highly recommend this product to anyone that is looking to buy it.

Love this case. I'm using it to protect a small SSD RAID drive and needed a strong, water-proof case to protect the data on them. My first time with the pick-and-pluck system... works really well in that I made perfectly formed foam compartments for the drive, the cables, small tools, and the stand. Perfect!!

Please give me back the sticker!!!!Hey, I had bought 5 pelican, one of these do not have sticker!! I am so disappointed and angry about this.

I found this size perfect to store my Baofeng UV-5RA with all the accessories starting with the charger, the speaker mic, car charger adapter cable, car battery adapter and the connector cable to connect to my magnetic antenna. The padding is easy to adapt for any configuration. Great buy. Pelican is a solid product.

I purchased this for a Klein multimeter and could not be happier. It is typical pelican quality and I am 100% percent confident that the items I put inside will remain undamaged in any way, no matter what I throw at them.
