this Kettle is amazing in every way.
I can not fault this kettle, I thought because of the amazing styling that the functionality would be compromised but I was so wrong. This kettle is a must for anyones Christmas list and you won't be disappointed.

Good Quality
Very heavy kettle looks nice and shines up well but limited space to put water in from tap due to small lid has different functions on that I never use but if your into designer and gadgets then this would be perfect for you.

Edit: This kettle does not have faults!!!
Edited: 22/11/21 - Had to edit this review down to one star and admit defeat. It seems descaling the kettle has ceased to work and it now regularly stipe boiling before reaching temperature. This can happen twice during a single boil. It becomes persistently annoying after a period of time! Such a shame. For the many, many reviewers who are writing negative reviews saying these kettles are faulty, this is simply not the case, it is down to user error. We purchased the Volo and Vera kettle and toaster from Amazon. After approximately a month or so, the apparent ‘faults’ that others are advertising appeared to materialise; I.e digital water level monitor not working properly and kettle stopping boiling at temperatures less than boiling point. Guess what peeps, this is down to simple limescale build up on the sensors and a after a quick sachet of a quality brand limescale remover, the water level monitor and temperature sensors are fully functional once more. Yes, I admit it is a bit of a pain that the sensors are probably a little over zealous when it comes to limescale sensitivity, but this is not a fault as many others have reported. The kettle and toaster overall are beautiful and have attracted many comments from visitors. If you are thinking of buying, I’d say there’s no reason not to.

Please improve the technology to match the fabulous design!
Brilliant design, but let down by the inferior technology, the water level does not work. One ends up sometimes overfilling the kettle. Real disappointment 😞, noisy, poor heat conductor but very cool look.

Wanted a statement kettle as an engagement present. Was nearly out of by the other reviews but have found it to be excellent. It's mostly about the looks as in the end it is just a kettle, but it does that well as you could possibly hope for.Only slight (neutral) comments are that if you fill from a brita jug or similar you can't see how full it is. The lid doesn't open quite as much you need it to so you need to open it a little more manually, but may loosen up over time. Final thing, it's not as easy to put back on its base as our old Russell Hobbs one... None of these diminish its value, but in the end it's just a kettle...that's more like a piece of art.

form fails function
This is a pretty kettle, and works well enough, but there are enough bugs to warrant serious complaint at this price. i'll do it as a list:1. It is a lovely stylish shape, but the narrow top makes it hard to fill from the tap, and when full near the limit, water gets "locked" somehow in the neck of the kettle, only coming out at a trickle. also, the shape makes it smaller than other kettles, and it is very, very, fussy about being overfilled.2. It is lovely smooth, enameled, metal on the exterior; but with little or no insulation. this means that the kettle is far to hot to lift except by the handle, and the shape of the handle means that my knuckles bang against it often... ouch3. All of the necessary functions are "digitally" controlled from the lovely handle, this includes a "digital" water gauge. this is, without doubt, the most over engineered, and unsuccessful piece of the whole kettle. the water gauge measure only 5 different volume-levels in the kettle; you either have too little, too much, or somewhere in the middle. and it's an approximation at best: if you move the kettle, then the water splashes around, and the gauge reads fuller than it actually is for quite a while as the (i presume) sensors in the, stupidly complex, kettle dry out. at times, this gauge goes totally wonky, assuring you that the kettle is full when in fact bone dry. this then makes the kettle turn itself off with a loud "pop," before sulking off in a dark mood for a moment or two. at other times, it decides that the kettle is too full to work... all in all, a simple window in the side would have done the job a whole lot better, with more precision and accuracy.4. The digital functions are battery back-upped, so the lovely display still reads when you are filling it (so that you can continue to be misled about how much water is in the kettle, even when it isn't plugged in!) however, the battery life, according to the manual, is only two years; and it needs to be changed by a registered dealer. i can hear, well designed, cash registers ker-chinging for years as i type.on top of which, it actually isn't all that quick, the build quality seems no better than my old siemens kettle and it is bloody expensive.looks nice, though, and i suppose if you find convernsation difficult with your guests, this kettle is one way to get started.
