Calypso Relaxing Moment Body Sponge

I first discovered these bath sponges in Italy and have used and loved them ever since. I can’t find anything comparable in the USA. The texture and cleaning capacity are wonderful. And I don’t have any skin reactions using them. Send me more please!

I use this sponge for washing myself in the shower. It softens beautifully when saturated with water and is a perfect size to fit in the palm of one's hand. It also gives a very satisfactory lather when washing. I cannot give a report on it's longevity as yet as I have been using it only for a short time. But it feels very sturdy to use so I would think it should last for a good, long time.

I found this sponge just right for everyday showering - a sensible size to keep hold of, and while it's not the softest I've used I think it's a good texture for scrubbing yourself awake, without making any sensitive areas sore. The open texture gives an excellent amount of lather, and dries out quickly after use which helps stop it from going smelly. Mine has lasted 6 months now and is still going strong, which works out better value than some of the ones I've got on the high street.I'm pretty sure this will genuinely be biodegradable, as I've been blasting it in the microwave from time to time to disinfect it and after 2 minutes on full it shows no signs of melting or sticking to itself. I'm happy to have found a more planet-friendly option for a reasonable price!

I have to admit I really didn't like this sponge when I received it as it is nothing like the softness of the sponge which I am used to. Having nothing else I had to use it but I have got used to it now and it does the job. The consistency of it reminded me of the type of sponge you would use for washing the car and I certainly wouldn't recommend it if softness is your priority. I shall be replacing it when shopping gets back to normal as it is really not my cup of tea.

Very soft and does the job. Became discoloured quite quickly, so might pop it in the washing machine to see if that improves it. It's impossible to rinse all the soap out of it by hand, so I think the discolouration is build up of shower gel.
