If installing in an exterior box, I used a TAYMAC external box cover with pre-cut knockouts. This creates two issues. 1) kind of a pain to cut out and 2) alignment with screws to secure to plate come close to the next “knock out”.A “blank cover, drilled out to size would be my preference. Also using the hosing cover in addition to the included cover may not be suitableI’m mounting this to a shed to have temp power feed as needed.Will update laterBut overall - great quality for the price and would secure well to RVs and other uses. And would recommend silicon to ensure no water or moisture over time

I installed this in the front bumper if my f350 for the block heater.Now I can plug or unplug the heater with one hand . Easy install ,solid terminals.Only concern in my application is that the housing is plastic ,so time will tell how long before it cracks and pushes through the bumper.

When I finally got my new tool box, it didn't come with a power strip on the inside to charge cordless devices - This connector lets me "Mod" it in a useful and cool way. After install, all I need to do is plug a standard extension cord in (I wired a power strip to it on the inside) and unplug it when I need to roll the tool box around - Very useful. I could not find this item anywhere - not even at the "FalseValu" - my go-to for less popular devices and niche items like this.... All you need to do is drill a 1 3/4" hole, and a couple of mounting holes for the included hardware, and then wire things up and mount it (My test fit images are below). I ended up getting the rubber cap version. I was even was contacted by the seller to let me know the mounting hole size (Even though it was on a linked drawing for the connector without the cap.) It was a nice touch, nonetheless.

I have a Traeger smoker and got so tired of the power cord falling down and running over it with the wheels. I looked at mounting a regular metal outlet box but thought there must be a cleaner and easier way. There isn't much info on youtube about doing this so I searched male 120 volt outlets. This one caught my eye and I couldn't have found a better solution to my problem. Very easy to install and now I plug the extension cord directly to the smoker. All it takes is a 1 3/4" hole saw and a smaller bit to drill the mounting holes for the plug. It makes for a nice and clean installation and no more cords dragging behind the smoker.

An amazing product! Very sturdy construction which I am confident will stand up to much use. I had a similar style before that only held a plug (it clamped it in place) and it broke with only a couple times of use. I am replacing that one with this plug. The inside appears to be quality construction as well and I felt that the electrical connection were very sturdy-no need to worry about them. I had a 1.75 inch hole that I was working with and this fit perfectly inside it. The measurements were exact. The hole for the plug is large enough you can fit most standard extension cords in, which is nice in that it doesn't have to have a special extension cord or plug to use with it. I would definitely buy this plug again.
