Easy to use

I used these to repair the snap on a pair of jeans. There are a couple of things to be aware of:1) There is just one size of snap in the package. This is good because you have spares if you make a mistake.2) On my pair of jeans, the pin pulled through the cloth enlarging the hole that held the pin assembly So, the new pin piece didn't have enough purchase to prevent it from being pulled through again.. I took some thick 8/4 thread and used an embroidery stitch to reduce the hole size and give the pin part of the snap something to bite to. (Its very easy, just look up visible mending and embroidery stitch on YouTube. You are simply repairing a hole in the garment). I did have to drill out the socket part of the old snap but this was very easy to do. Again, YouTube is your friend here.3) The socket part of the snap goes in quite easily. However, make sure you start with gentle taps when putting in the pin part of the snap. It is very easy for the part to shift on the aluminum mandrel and for the part to distort. Fortunately, all of the sizes are the same so there are plenty of spares. If you are like me and this is your first time putting a snap in, plan on distorting one or more while you get the touch right.
