BUXOM Power Line Lasting Eyeliner, Creamy Retractable Eye Liner, Waterproof & Smudge Proof, Bladed Tip & Built-In Brush to Line & Define Eyes

I've been wearing makeup since I was in junior high, both pencil and liquid from random fashion companies. This doesn't smear and I like the brush on the opposite side of the crayon. A lot easier to use and if you don't have shaky hands like myself it makes for an awesome top liner as well!

First off, I’m not new to Buxom products, so I was very excited to try this eyeliner pencil. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet the expectations I had for it given what I know about the brand. First off, the tip of the eyeliner broke off within the first 5 minutes of me taking it out of the package so not the best first impression. It’s not like there’s a ton of product to begin with, so you really can’t afford to lose product that easily.Secondly, I found that the consistency isn’t creamy rather it’s on the dry side. I feel like it’s vital for an eyeliner to be creamy as this helps with a seamless application, but it also prevents tugging around your eyes (which is such delicate skin!). As a result of being dry, this particular eyeliner goes on patchy, and it tugs.The image attached is of the color of the eyeliner (throw shade), but in order to get that level of color payoff (line on the left), it took 4 hard swipes of the product. So, don’t think it was that pigmented on the first go. Also, while it comes with a brush for blending, due to how dry the pencil is, it was difficult to blend.I don’t know if I just received a bad batch or an older product they were trying to move, but if that’s how this product always performs, I wouldn’t be able to recommend it to anyone. For what the retail price of this eyeliner is, there are just better products out there.Trust me, I really wanted to love this, and I think it has so much potential! For one, the shape of the pencil itself has a lot of promise. The flat, square shape really lends itself to being able to create a nice winged eye look. However, trying to achieve that with this formula just doesn’t work very well.

This is a really, really hard eyeliner. It says it's creamy but it's so far from creamy that I wonder if it's defective. I tried breathing on it to warm it up and soften it, but it was still too hard. It reminds me of the old Maybelline eyeliner that you had to use a lighter on. I couldn't get a skinny line without practically ripping my eyelid off. I could get a patchy thick line, even then it pulled on my eyelids. Then the part I had rolled out snapped off. The amount of product you get is ridiculous for the price. Added a picture of the total amount rolled out, not including the 1/16 of an inch that snapped off. Also failed the hooded eyelid test. The brush is nice and soft.

I love this eyeliner! It is a great product, especially if you have hooded eyes like me.

This arrives fully boxed in a cool container that mirrors the silvery stick inside. Very slick!The twists up easily and the eyeliner is so creamy and so smooth. It takes very little pressure to create a precise line. (You want to only twist this up a little at a time to prevent breakage).The color is a brownish-black. It's a little softer than a true black (which I assume is "LBD" here) and not as dramatic. Therefore, it could be a good choice for day or for work.The brush is nicely constructed and an unexpected surprise. It is soft feeling and can create a more blended look.I have always loved Buxom products! I have used their lip glosses for years and years and I am thrilled to see that their eyeliner lives up to their excellent reputation!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen an eyeliner like the Buxom Power Line. It’s a very firm liner in the shape of a thin rectangle. A pretty neat idea, since it allowed my to use either the edge for a thin line or the full flat top of the rectangle of a much fuller line. It goes on pretty smooth and the “Throw Shade” color is either a soft black or dark gray (hard to tell exactly, but its seems like a versatile shade). The brush on the opposite end is a very full wedge, great for smudging, blending, and extending.
