High quality, very versatile for carrying on heavy lenses (also prime-lens off course)
Peak Design Ash Slide Camera Strap SL-AS-3 (Ash).First I want to say I don't use to write reviews but for me this product worth it because the wellness I got after buying and using it.The product arrived very fast to Colombia country and the package came fully sealed and in perfect conditions. Before buying this product I used to feel tired when carrying on heavy lenses and felt very uncomfortable after some hours of walking or hiking because the position of my oldest strap on my shoulder, neck or even my back.I'm amazed with this Peak Design Slide Strap due to many reasons, but especially for these:- the thickness of this strap is perfect for me. It seems very wide when carrying prime lenses, but the feeling is perfect. I prefer this wide strap for walking for hours in the mountain, the camera don't bother you after walking or hiking.- the interchangeable links are perfect and very versatile. You can easily move the strap position according to the situation and the lens/or even flash mounted. As you see in my photos, the long and heavy 70-200 lens fits perfectly in the correct position, on my side, and I can access easily to the camera to shot without removing the strap.- the vertical position to photograph is sooo pleasant now, the right link connected under the camera and the strap will not hinder the shooting, it was fantastic!- for me, quick removing the strap is essential because when I'm photographing I used to lie on the ground or if I am at home I like to use the camera without the strap. Or even if I'm using a tripod for landscape or portrait, the strap often gets in the way to control the camera nimbly, so now I can easily remove and put it on again.- If I remove the strap from the camera, I can connect the strap with itself by using the 4th remaining peak design link (the package included 4 links). It is perfect to avoid the strap falling down from your neck if you disconnect the camera from the links.- The strap bag can be used to store your lens or even the camera. For me, it fitted perfectly with my Nikon Z6 mirrorless camera.- The tripod connector can be moved from the camera to the lens mount easily, and even you can connect it under the camera and mount the tripod plate on your lens support (as you can see in my photos).- when I remove the strap, the links keep the aesthetic of the camera and I can use smoothly.- the adjust for enlarge-shorten of the strap is perfect and you can adjust it quickly. Perfect for walking and taking photos. In general, the product worth the money. Not a cheap product, but you are securing your expensive camera, so the cost-benefit is perfect. Thank you.

Sturdy strap, good design and build
My Initial thoughts on the Peak Design Slide is that the strap is designed well and feels solid. The strap feels like it is made from seat belt material and is wider. The padded portion is not overly thick, a little stiff but seems comfortable. The strap was easy to configure. There are 4 loops/connectors included that are easy to attach to the camera. You use your thumb or finger to lock the ends of the strap into place on the connectors. Peak Design came out with a new version of the loops/connectors, hopefully to make them sturdier. While I was concerned about the strap coming loose, it does require extra effort. The strap can be setup to be used on your shoulder, crossbody, and with the lens facing down. The buckles on the strap make it very easy to adjust so the camera stays closer to the body.

The best strap I've used
I've been thinking about getting a Slide strap for a while and I finally got mine today. My first impression honestly was how inventive and unique the packaging was. No knife need to open the box! Once I took out the strap I was impressed with how soft the strap material is (I bought Peak Design Ash Slide Camera Strap SL-AS-3).The clips work as well as advertised. They are quick and easy to attach / remove. The length of the strap is simple to adjust. Importantly it is very comfortable to wear as a sling with a Nikon d7500 and an 18-140mm lens attached. The "grippy" side of the strap really keeps the camera from sliding around and when the smooth side is down, it's a breeze to bring the camera up for a shot. I was using a knock off of the Black Rapid, but I don't like having to unscrew the strap to mount the camera on a tripod. With the Slide I can leave my Arca plate attached to the camera. To wear as a sling, it seems best to attach the strap to the Arca plate on the camera bottom and to the right hand strap loop. When worm like this, the lens stays pointing downward and it is quite comfortable. You attach the clip to the bottom of the camera by looping it over the Arca plate screw so it sticks out underneath the side of the plate. This does leave very little room to attach the strap. It is a bit awkward to clip it in. I have a Capture plate coming tomorrow and it includes an Peak Design Arca-compatible plate that should make it much easier to attach the strap to the camera bottom. All in all I highly recommend this strap. I wish I had purchased it earlier. I think it is well worth the price.

secure and comfortable camera strap
So I used to have a competitor's strap (rhymes with black rabbit). Past tense, because one day the strap's proprietary connector on the bottom of my camera unscrewed itself, and thousands of dollars worth of camera equipment crashed to the pavement and shattered. Or rather, that's what would have happened, except on some level subconsciously I didn't quite trust that connector, and so I had a Peak Design wrist strap attached also. I felt a sudden tug on my wrist and looked down and was absolutely horrified at what almost happened. I retired that strap immediately and got this one. What a difference! There's no question of whether you tightened a particular connector sufficiently. The Peak Design strap attaches to the camera via connectors that snap in securely. Once they're in, they're in. They can't work themselves free. The strap itself adjusts in length easily and is comfortable to carry, even for heavy cameras and lenses. The old strap used to fall off my shoulder when I lifted the camera to shoot, and then it was a pain to reposition. This Peak Design strap stays put. If you're using a tripod and want to detach the strap, it's easy. I have an L-plate attached to my camera; a Peak Design connector is attached to it, and is so small it doesn't interfere with mounting the plate on a tripod.Anyway, just get this strap, it's great.
