Small, efficient and very effective
Bought recently to replace a 30 year old device which was no longer cutting it (but good enough to be consigned to the bedroom for cooling up there) we needed this for our ground floor lounge and it was been a godsend during the recent bonkers british summer of jumpers one day followed by bikini weather the next. It's smaller than our older unit, both in height and footprint and is easily manoeuvred. We vent it through the fanlight window via an extension to the hose as it doesn't quite reach but were half expecting that.In terms of noise It's probably a.'medium'. Yes we have to turn the TV up a bit but it's a small price to pay for the immediate cool air. It's extremely efficient and cools our room (28' x 14') to a comfortable level within 10 mins.

Midea Portable Air Conditioning Unit 9000 BTU
Was delivered a bit earlier than expected, which was a bonus. So far, so good. Compact and the self-condensing feature is a definite plus so you don't have to periodically drain it. The clip-on and slide feature of the venting hose is an excellent idea, making it much easier to cover and store when not in use.Efficient in cooling, which starts almost immediately. Horizontal vents have a good range but there don't appear to be any vertical ones that can be adjusted.A bit on the noisy side but you get used to that and the benfits of being able to sleep comfortably far outweigh the noise issue.
