I love it
Super easy to use, and works amazingly! Dehydrated mushrooms with ease, haven’t tried much else besides that but I’m planning on experimenting with them all!

Good kit
Don't know what it's like at dehydrating food, but it makes a great case dryer. Almost identical to the Lyman one but half the price.

Works well, but a little noisy
Works well, but a little noisy. So best to use somewhere out the way.

Makes drying fruit really easy
I've always used the oven to dry fruit. but this makes it so easy and effective.Haven't had it long and am still experimenting but so far I find it simple to use and clean so it's just what I hoped it would be.

Works, but very slow. Baskets feel brittle and easy to damage
This budget dehydrator works after a fashionl... eventually. The basic looks aren't bad - everything feels quite solid and chunky, particularly the base (in a combination of plastic and brushed steel), although the baskets and lid are entirely made from a hard, brittle-seeming plastic that despite solid construction feels quite vulnerable to damage should it be dropped/knocked. Problematic, as using all 5 layers of baskets (even if not filled) is recommended. The baskets don't stack away inside one another in any kind of way for storage, so this is quite a bulky itemThe accompanying guide is not the best, it gives some basic tips for dehydrating particular types of foods - e.g. the use of lemon juice to help reduce browning of fruit... but really not enough to work by. Although lemon juice is suggested, the manual neglects to mention that this should be in solution and not neat lemon juice. The results obtained from drying fruit slices coated in neat lemon are rather tart! The temperature of the unit doesn't seem to reach the suggested levels, I ended up cranking this up to the (supposedly) 70 degree top heat setting to dehydrate apple slices and yogurt, but even so most things seem to take far longer to dehydrate than is suggested. The heated unit and fan are built in to the base, and each layer has a fairly wide circular hole in the centre, in addition to the grid structure of the plastic baskets. The baskets need to be rotated regularly, as the ones closest to the heating element dry fastest. Using greaseproof paper or silicone dehydrator sheets helps to prevent foods being dehydrated from moulding themselves around the grid structure of the plastic baskets, but also seems to slow the drying process further. Baskets and lid are all dishwasher safe.

Spacious, excellent for the price.
Plenty of room and good easily controlled temperature. Easy to use.

Started great... not so great now
Got this 3 months ago. Really loved it to begin with. Not the quickest dehydrator but worked really well for making jerky and dried fruit. Easy to use. However I've only used it a handful of times and all the shelves have become brittle and are breaking apart. One tray is already completely unusable and the other 4 are on their way out . I cant seem to find anywhere to buy new trays so I guess it'll be obsolete in a few more uses so very disappointing.
