This item is extremely well made and is balanced perfectly. Being made of stainless steel it will last a very long time. I use this item in my holiday home for approximately seven months of the year. Other stand alone towel rails rust very quickly and have to be replaced frequently. Although fairly expensive, this Blomus rail will pay for itself over and over again in the future by not having to be frequently replaced because of rust. Great item.

Very pleased. Easy to put together and feels solid and stable. Not too big and more practical than a rail that is closed at one end, you can drape a damp towel out more freely. The base is a matt slate grey colour (would recommend not placing greasy fingers on it) and the metal a brushed steel effect which is what I was hoping for. One slight annoyance the sticky labels to assist in putting the pieces together left a very slight deposit on the brushed metal, if I tried a couple of products it might come off but is covered anyway when the item is in use. The edges of the cross bars might pull or scratch delicates fabrics or skin if you brush past too close but the sharpness of the finish is stylish.NB Some descriptions of this item on this and other sites are confusing, there may be a chrome and a matt steel finish out there and this page shows 2 completely different sized items, not the same thing in 2 finishes. The weights given cannot be right as the larger one is stated to be lighter than the smaller one.

I bought this as I have bought some Blomus products before and have always been really pleased with them. I have inherited a floor to ceiling tiled bathroom and did not fancy drilling through the tiles to fit a towel rail. This fits the bill perfectly and really looks great. It was easy to fit together with the allen keys provided. Delivery was also quicker than expected. I have only dropped one star simply because the base is only available in a matt greyish black and I would have preferred a choice of colour - maybe Blomus could expand on this idea. However, I did know this beforehand so am being a bit mean dropping a star.

I have a very narrow bathroom, and this is a lovely compact stand, however it does need some clearance to the wall to be able to hang two towels. Solid and attractive, docked a star as the dimensions did not mention it needed som clearance. Otherwise usual high standard of Blomus quality.

Basic review:This is an elegantly and simply designed contemporary fixture (German company, but made in China like everything else). The horizontal bars and vertical legs are brushed stainless steel and the "polystone" base has a blue-gray matte/soapstone like appearance.The base is heavy and the fixture is well balanced. Instructions were included, and assembly was easy.I would recommend this for any bathroom. Yes, it is a bit expensive, but certainly not the most expensive towel stand out there. I believeMore detail/clarifications:I like the staggered height bars, which are also long enough to hold multiple towels, if folded. We use "normal" sized towels, we don't use the much larger towel "sheets."Includes all assembly screws and hex/allen wrenches, as well as multi-lingual assembly and care instructions.The base is heavy and does not wobble (assuming the floor is flat). It has a 1/4" steel plate inset into the underside of the base. It has four (4) pads/feet which prevent scratches. The packaging includes two (2) extra/replacement feet (nice!).The bars and legs are nicely detailed...the welds/grinds are precise, and the edges are "eased" (not sharp).Some people have complained that it is "flimsy." I'm sure it would buckle if you fell on it, but it isn't designed to be a guard rail. I've found it to be more than adequate.Arrived in an appropriately sized shipping box. The fixture was packaged in its own box, and all parts/pieces were individually bagged and individually boxed and secured.

Easy to assemble, just a few screws. Weighty enough and impressive looking. Stainless seems quality and base lies flat. It is however definitely overpriced, but then it will likely last indefinitely, unlike the last similar looking towel rack from another inferior manufacturer. Wasted money on that one. With Blomus, it seems their products are usually good quality.
