Impressive
I bought this out of curiosity. Back in the 90s I had a mag light which I thought I was super bright. In the early 00s I remember when the first LED head lamps came out, and they sure were great for hikers and night walkers. In the teens I bought a flashlight which could output 500 lumens, which was incredible at the time. That old 500 lumen light quite big and heavy by today's standards, but it's a solid chunk of aluminum and will probably outlast me. 10 years have passed now, and so it's time to check out how flashlight technology has progressed. This thing puts out an honest 12,000 lumens from 3 tiny LEDs, which is a marvel. Don't believe all of the cheap $20 lights that claim to have that kind of output-- they're lying,. You can't get that kind of power off of tiny batteries and bottom of the barrel LEDs. But this thing, it's the real deal.As for the light itself, it is a well made slab of aluminum. I like the rectangular form factor more than I was expecting- It fits in the hand comfortably, and the shape allows the light to stand on its tail as well as on its sides. The back says "do not open", but I have seen plenty of youtube reviewers unscrew it and get to the batteries. It's nice to know that if a cell goes bad this thing is user servicable. The X1 slides into my front pants pocket wihout being too noticeable save for the weight. The flashlight is smaller than I expected, but also heavier than I thought it would be. I do appreciate that turbo mode runs for one minute whereas most lights shut off turbo mode after 10-15 seconds for thermal management reasons. And the stepdown from turbo is to 3,000 lumens for one hour, which is still incredibly bright. All of this thanks to the internal cooling fan. And note that the fan is so quiet as to almost be unnoticeable. There aren't too many other lights out there than can run at this brightness for so long, and of all the ones that can I think this is probably the smallest and lightes of the bunch.I simultaneously want more brightness and at the same time have little use for something so bright. It is quite a novelty, and every now and then having a powerful floodlight will come in handy, but for normal flashlight duty this thing is complete overkill. For night walks or hiking you're probably better off just getting a 1k lumen light for less than half the weight and cost of this thing.Even though this thing is heavy it is still quite usable, and the cool factor of 12K lumens is undeniable. Packing so much power into such a small package is quite a feat. I like it. Well done, Wuben!

Love the X1 and EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!
First off I will say that this light is pricey and I thought the same thing when i first seen it. BUT that ended when it arrived at my house. The first thing that I noticed even before opening the box was that it was hefty for a flashlight.Build Quality:The body and almost everything minus the lens is metal which I love as i have a tendency to drop flashlights. Some may find it too heavy for their EDC but working security I have not even noticed it on my belt in the holster that came with it.Interface:The interface is great. I love the fact that it has a lockout feature so it cant be turned on while I am traveling to work It has a feature that I am in love with and thats the fact that the button will flash when it its locked out to let you know that it is not dead and locked.Ergonomics:It feels great in my hand. Much better than beercan flashlights. Although heavy i like the bulk behind it. I feel comfortable knowing that should I need to use it in a last ditch self defense effort that I will not break it.Brighteness:Brightness you may ask. It has 4 standard brightnesses that can be adjusted to each setting variably and a turn I mode. It is so bright that high is almost too bright for interior use and Turbo will cause blindness! Turbo mode? That’s where this gets interesting. This flashlight can get hot on high and turbo mode so they have the integrated a fan that personally I have only heard once. Love the fact that they found a fan system that is so quiet and turns off the second you shut the light off.Strobe Feature:There are strobe features that have the ability to blind a bear! Great for self defense as its strobe pattern is in the high settings. It also has an SOS feature that i do not have an intention of using but is worth it just in case none the less. To get into the strobe features you simply have to press the button 3 times.Included accessory:The one nice thing about this is that Wuben has included a very nice holster that has not only the option for a closed belt loop but also Mille attachments. I love this holsters snap buckle. Squeeze it and the buckle immedietly snaps open so you can quickly grab your flashlight and get to work. You need to keep in mind that this will be a long term investment as this is built to last. This is not a dollar store flashlight. It’s an everyday tool that was more than likely designed with the working person in mind.Take the leap and spend the money. You wont regret it!UPDATE: Still going strong after 4 months of almost daily service. Original batteries and maintains one of the best charges i have ever had in a flashlight. It's been tossed around and hasn't given up yet! Still one of the best decisions i have made for work gear!Update 3/12/24:After almost 1 Year of service this flashlight shows no signs of slowing down! Still very impressed with this light The holster was not so lucky after accidential turn-ons it burned and I was forced to find an update for the holster. What I ended up is a radio holster that is square and fits the light great I tied a small knot in the elastic so it wouldnt slide. Because its a hard case it does not run the risk of accidential turn on. Still love this light!

Absolutely insane!!
The media could not be loaded. First of all. A light with its own cooling system? Not only that but 12,000 lm? I had to get this thing. No it’s not gonna be an every day carry, but it definitely will stay in my car. I don’t think this thing was ever designed to be carried every day. But what a design it is! Small enough to be handheld and heavy enough to honestly be used as a self-defense tool. This thing is so well-built it’s insane. It’s nice to see something made out of all metal. im very big on build quality and this thing has it. Also, I haven’t tested out the waterproof, but it damn well is water resistant and in that entire video of my super scientific shower test the fan was running. That should be the heaviest water It will ever see as it’s not meant to be a diving light and would most likely be used in rain, but that simulates literal hurricane conditions. I tried it outside and let me tell you this thing lights up my backyard like a football stadium. Strobe is useless, because not only would you blind your attacker, but you’d also blind yourself by just looking at your attacker. SOS would be helpful though if you need to signal someone on the opposite side of the world. This thing is great because it has a wide flood beam so you could just set it on low or eco and have it pointed at your ceiling and have light for days. It would be Clutch in a power outage just to keep your house lit up. It charges super super fast and I love that it’s USB-C so you could really use any modern charger to charge it.Overall this thing is insane and definitely worth the price!I’m super super happy with this thing overall. And it looks amazing too! Another insane job done by Wuben!
