Pleasantly surprised with build quality
I've used Appion and JB core removers but this one is my new favorite. I really wasn't sure about the build quality but it's pretty solid for how "skinny" it is compared to the other two brands. The thing I really liked is how long the core remover is, the other tools are much shorter and I was surprised everything was pressure tight and worked well. The ball valve on this has a smaller opening because the internal volume is smaller, I'm okay with that. I didn't find I was able to use the port on my Appion core remover(schrader didn't depress/flow) but this one I've had no problem with the schrader being depressed or flowing. All the extra stuff to come with it is a bonus. It being $45 cheaper than the Appion tool is another bonus. I do like how long the core remover is even outside of the tool, it makes it nice and easy to install or remove cores rather than having to be on top of the valve directly. Very happy with this one, I'm sure it'll wear out but my Appion and JB ones wore out too, this just will hurt less to replace when that time comes.

Works but is flimsy.
This worked as stated but I was wondering if it was going to come apart during use. I used it on a mini split install.Make sure you get the adapter to fit your ac unit before you start.

Just what we needed for quick a/c repair
When it's 90 plus degrees outside and the a/c decides to go on vacation, all is not well with the world. This kit made it possible to safely repair the a/c and remain in compliance. A life saver!

Cores leak, get them replaced
I had a leaking valve core on my Frontier's HVAC. Not wanting to remove all the refrigerant, I opted for this tool. It sealed well and didn't require me to collect the refrigerant, change the valve core, vacuum the system, and charge it like a shop wanted me to do. Saved a bunch of time and money. Will keep this around for the next time I need it (like my house compressors). Note: there's a lot of Youtube videos out there that show how to use this tool. Study them. There's a few things that can go wrong and if they do it's not great.

Very usefull
So convenient for those servicing ac. You can remove the valve core without loosing and freon. Cuts the time and cost to a fraction. Very good return to cost ratio.

Put me in a pinch on a job
Used it in a pinch for a refrigeration repair and the Schrader removing tool tip broke loose on the first schrader removal and i shrugged that off and proceeded to use it.For 3 hours i was trying to pull a vacuum and it would not go below 900 microns after 2 hours and I thought it was the system at first but two tanks of nitrogen later and a running to the local HVAC depot to refill the tanks and getting a navac removal tool and it pulled all the way to 300 microns without having to use my other tanks. If the use is to remove a bad schrader on the spot during a maintenance, I'm concerned its going to fail and put you in a bad spot and either way your going to have to drop the money on name brand anyways if your on a job.

Necessary Tool for HVAC Valve Core Removal/Replacement
I was able to replace a leaking valve core on my AC unit very easily using this tool, and with no discernible leaks.I would have preferred that the replacement valve caps have a hex drive versus a knurled finish, for tightening with a wrench, but the rubber o-ring inside each replacement cap is likely an upgrade over my original caps.
