Q: Can I wear this while playing sport?

Depends which sport. If wrist unstable or painful best not to play squash or tennis. Should be OK for footie but not rugby. Golf no. Rowing no.

Q: What material is this made of?

It is 55% Nylon//45%polyester it is hand washable and air dryed I have found it to be great quality and a great fit for me, it has been and still is a great benefit to my risr and thumb problem s , I hope this helps you,,and I would recommend it to anyone,,

Q: How long can it be worn, all day or just a couple of hours

I wore mine for extended periods - certainly for full days from waking to bed time. However I would remove it every couple of hours for maybe just a few minutes to let my skin breathe. Perhaps that was a psychological rather than a physical need, but it worked for me.
