Excellent fans. I have a Fractal Define R5 case which was supplied with 2 of these. I was so impressed that I've decided to fill the rest of the fan mounts with the same. They are silent as described. Well, if I remove the front fan filter (to expose the front fans), I cannot hear them above the general hum of the other components.They are large so provide plenty of air flow without having to spin too fast. Combined with the Fractal case acoustic insulation and the case is more or less silent with 5 of these shifting air.I like the tidy design too. My case is sealed with acoustic insulation and is under my desk so no windows and no cheap looking LEDs :).

Very good quality.Easy to fit with supplied parts.Moves a good amount of air and keeps my case in good order temps wise.Also pretty quiet, my NZXT case fans are louder.Good price and quick delivery. Happy chap.

Bought as a replacement for a fan in a Fractal R4 that became faulty. It was a relatively inexpensive replacement, and has been performing fine and quietly as expected. Good performance, noise and airflow-wise, for the price.

The Fractal Design Define series PC cases come with two preinstalled fans (one at the back and one in the front) so I bought one more of these fans and placed it in the front (so that now I have two in the front and one in the back). The effect on my CPU core temps (when compared to my previous 2-fan setup) was a mere reduction of 0.5˚C. I am pretty sure, however, that if I place the fan at the top of my case rather than in the front, the reduction in the CPU core temperatures will be around 2˚C - but as this will require me to take off the sound dampening foams from the top of my case I won't do it. Anyway, despite the rather marginal improvement on the CPU core temps, the airflow inside the case has undoubtedly improved and this will have a positive effect on the longevity of the motherboard and the things installed on it. The GPU temps, for example, were reduced by 2˚C.In order to power this fan you will have to connect it on the motherboard (on a 4pin or a 3pin male connector). If you own a Fractal case (or any other case offering voltage control) you also have the option to connect it with the voltage controller at the front of the case. You will need to buy a 3pin splitter for this ( it is cheap though - costs about £1.90). My only gripe with this fan is that it does not have a 4pin female connector and therefore it is not PWM controlled. Its connector is only a 3pin one and as such the fan is only voltage controlled.All in all, I can recommend buying one of these Fractal Design Silent Series 3 140mm case fans. It just costs £8, it is silent, you get improved airflow in the case, and a reduction of 0.5˚C-2˚C on your CPU and GPU temps. I would definitely recommend it to those owning a Fractal Design Define S, R4 or R5 case as it matches the fans that are already pre-installed. Also in case you have bought one of those budget cases that come with only one fan at the back then you should absolutely consider purchasing at least one fan for the front as this will reduce your CPU and GPU temps by at least 10˚C.

Decided to buy one of these for my Fractal Design Core 2300 for better handle of the summer temperatures and can only say I'm very happy with my choice.I notice no extra sound coming out of my machine and the airflow is now much improved as I was still only using the two fans that came with the case.

I bought these as replacement fans for my Fractal Design case as the original ones were starting to become noisy (worn bearings). These work great and are very quiet.Although they are the newer version of fan compared to the ones I had originally in my case (R2) I did notice that the cables were a fair bit shorter that the originals. It didn't cause a problem for me but it might for some users and you may need some fan extension cables.

Bought to replace an old noisy cooler master case fan.Works well and a no annoying noise.Was slightly thicker than the cooler master and so had to do a slight mod to get it to fit, but that’s just down to my case layout.Seems to have good air throughput.

The Fan works well, it looks well built and I have no complaints about the fan itself apart from one major issue.it is nowhere near silent, Fractal Design Silent Series R3... it is anything but silent, it is very noisy, very disappointed with the noise this makes

Har bara använt dem ett par veckor. De är tysta och verkar flytta bra med luft. Mina 2 pc som jag kör dessa i är svala och har bra temperaturer hela vägen så jag är nöjd. Bra pris.

Fläkten gör sitt jobb, men jag hade förväntat mig ett lägre ljud från fläktarna, detta drog ner betyget betydligt.

Una ventola perfetta per l'uso che ne dovevo fare, estrarre aria calda dal vano amplificatore del mio impianto. Silenziosa, buon volume d'aria, poco ingombrante. Ottima.

120mm R2 and 140mm R3: Quiet. NOT silent, but quiet. If you need silent fans for computer sitting on top of your desk, this probably isn't the fan for you. If you need a quiet fan for your computer that sits under your desk, this will do just fine. It's quiet, not silent, but quiet. I have this fan in a media server just behind my TV, about 4-feet from where I sit, and the sound blends in with the other ambient sounds of my living room. GREAT VALUE.

Added this to a Silverstone SG13 case (which to my great surprise did not come with a case fan). Does what it says on the box, runs quietly and pushes air. 140mm fans such as this one are the largest you can put in a Silverstone SG13, hence my choice. I am not a fan of LED lighting and this fan doesn't have any.
