An almost essential tool for 3D printing
When I first purchased this for my 3d Printer, I was afraid that the process for installing Klipper would be just as difficult as it has been in the past for me, but I was pleasantly surprised. This device is really almost entirely plug and play with a helpful screen and tutorial to walk you though setting up your printer. It has almost become essential for me and I can't imagine myself without it now as it adds so much convenient functionality to my printer. My favorite part about the Sonic Pad has to be that once you calibrate your printer, you're able to print at much higher print speeds while not sacrificing much in the way of print quality. It offers far more than that, allowing you to expand the ways you have in controlling your 3D Printer, from the bright and large 7 inch tablet display of the Sonic Pad itself to pretty much any device that has access to the internet and can open a web browser. Not to mention you're able to set up features like webcams and timelapsing and even AI detection for failed prints. There are some issues however that I hope will be fixed in time with firmware updates. First, sometimes the screen can be unresponsive when you're trying to cancel or start a print and I've had my printer refuse to trigger any of the end stops randomly and my bed probe has even stopped working randomly. These things never happened to me before the firmware change. A quick restart can fix these issues, however it's still a bit frustrating to deal with considering the price. Also, while setting up your printer is somewhat detailed, other calibrations that you might want to do are left to you to figure out, meaning if you have never done it before or don't know the correct way to do so... you might struggle to do it right.Overall, I love this device and I think anyone who is into 3D Printing should snag one up! If not for anything, grab one for the ease of use in installing Klipper!

Better than I had read
After reading some of the reviews on Amazon and online, I had decided I would return this before I had received it. I ended up giving it a chance just because.I got my first 3D printer less than a week ago (Ender 3 max neo) for my small business to design some stuff that was lacking from the factory, so needless to say I’m very new at this. I decided on an upgrade quickly because that’s what I do, my cars barely make it out of their first week without some tinkering.Setup: The Sonic pad connects easily, you are asked to flash the printer with the included usb stick, which of course the Ender 3 max neo only has an sd slot. Even with the pad connected straight to the printer it wouldn’t flash. Finally got it to flash the printer after transferring files to an sd. The WiFi kept saying the password was wrong, after many attempts I just plugged it into LAN, and off it went. After connecting it that way and it downloading a few updates for it the WiFi decided to connect. Make sure you set a static IP in your router for the pad, or else viewing on your computer will mean having to input the new IP address each time it power cycles. The rest of the setup was a snap, the biggest issue I had was the way the on screen setups were worded. Calibration is much more detailed, and you get a visual reference of how level the bed is.I’ll update this as I get farther into it, but so far the learning curve isn’t as much as people had said. Straight out of the box after the setup, the print speeds are at minimum twice as fast, with the detail actually being better. If you’re new to the hobby, I wouldn’t be discouraged, a vet may not like it. I personally couldn’t be happier with it, since I’m learning both printing and Klipper simultaneously.

More trouble than it is worth
I have had nothing but problems with this item. I thought that this would help with control of 2 printers and bed leveling. It did first layers are great with ender 3 pro and cr touch, but prints keep stopping telling me extruder temp too low when everything seems to say it is at proper temp and disconnects from printer. I went from 2 printers doing ok prints to wasting plastic on prints that stop half way through. The usb ports are loose, I thought this was the cause of disconnection but I used tape to keep them in with no luck. The quality of the product is not great. All these problems could be my fault, but the whole reason I over paid for this is I thought it was supposed to be a user friendly way of implementing klipper. I do not recommend is more headache than it is worth. Use the money to buy a better printer and stay away from creality products.
