Fantastic piece of kit
This is a must have for anyone who likes to cross stitch, embroider or does small intricate crafting. I have used magnifying glasses that fit over your own prescription glasses but I can’t stand the weight on my face for long periods as I have got older, this magnifying light stand is a real game changer for poor eye sight. The actual dimension of the magnifying glass is large and the light it gives has 3 settings which is fantastic and means you don’t need additional lighting if working in a dark area. I can highly recommend this product.

Very pleased indeed ! 🌟
I deliberated long and hard between this and the 3in1 and I was won over by the work clip and little tray! Although I have not got the 3in1 to compare it with, this 4in1 is perfect for me. Easy to assemble, the clip is strong to hold my chart/pattern and the light includes a dimmer switch, which isn't even mentioned in the description! The magnifier is clear, and you can have the light on ~ or not. I am really happy with the product, well worth the price, especially when you compare it with similar products.

Good, but could be better
This item can be used either as a floor standing lamp or as a table top one. It comes with a very handy clip to hold patterns and a useful accessories tray. The light is very bright and the magnification is acceptable (although this is a subjective opinion). One thing that is unclear is how I would change one or more light bulbs when they eventually burn out. There is also a battery box, so that you do not need to use an AC outlet, but I have not yet tested the effectiveness of this. The lamp (when used on the floor) consists of a flat base (no wheels or legs), two rigid vertical poles and a top section that has the magnifier and the lights under this. This top section also has a flexible goose neck. Although it can be twisted into position, I find it a bit rigid and therefore this goose neck has limited flexibility. It may be that with further use, it becomes looser, but I do not know.In my opinion, there are two design faults. The first is the fact that the lamp is not very heavy and therefore is easy to topple over. The manufacturer could solve this by making the base much heavier. The second design fault is the fact that it is not possible to attach the accessories tray securely because the knob of the top section and the power outlet get in the way. Unless one is careful, the accessories tray can be knocked off the lamp very easily. The manufacturer could solve this problem readily by making the clip of the accessories tray wider so that, instead of attaching it to the top section, it can be attached to the uppermost rigid pole (just like the battery box is attached now).I was also very unimpressed with the seller, who did not post my lamp until three working days after my order (despite stock being available). Amazon states that the timescale should be a maximum of two days and sellers from whom I have bought and who provided first class customer service sent out in stock items on the same day as the order.

Good value
I am surprisingly pleased at how good this magnifying light unit is for the price. It is attached to a solid sound base with a stem high enough to use when sitting in an armchair. The movable stem is long enough to reach while sitting in the centre of an armchair with wide arms and the magnifying glass is large and focused at the same place over the whole glass. By this I mean that the strength does not deminish as it reaches the edge of the glass. It has the same strength and view over the whole piece of glass. I hope this makes sense as I have had magnifying glasses in the past which I could only focus in the centre without having to move the unit. When embroidering or any other close work the chance is that both hands are in use and therefore it is not easy to have to keep moving the glass in order to focus. There is no need to move this magnifying glass as it remains in focius across the whole glass. The LED lights give a very bright working light and can be adjusted to suit. Overall I would highly recommend this unit for close work, easy of assembly and reach when wanting to site in a comfortable armchair to work from.

Good but doesn't come with clamp so not really 4in1
It's brilliant. Makes cross stitching so easy to do even on 25ct even weave. The dimmer switch on the light is handy so you can adjust the light to what you need rather than having just a bright light. The size of the lens is good so you don't have to constantly move it while working. The only downside is that it doesn't come with the table clamp like the 3 in 1 lamp, it's only a floor lamp and table top lamp. Which I would have liked as it is more expensive than the 3in1 lamp and the clamp would have been useful to clamp to my floor stand that I use for cross stitching. The chart holder is ok but not able to hold anything heavier than a piece of paper. The neck of the lamp is not very flexible and I do worry it may break.

Tray is small but great light
I was surprised how small the tray is and took the photo to show you that I had to remove one partition to put my embroidery scissors into it. You also see how far quilting pins stick out so not deep at all. I find when I try to maneuver the clip with my pattern, I end up turning the whole lamp, it's not an one hand job. The overhead light is brilliant, you run your finger over the button and it increases the light setting each time until you switch it off by the same method. Again, the flexibility of the light is a 2-hand job and don't clunk your head when you forget as you've moved it round lol I've tried the magnifier once but as it was so difficult to move the light arm, I haven't done it again. I use the brightest setting instead and am happy with that 😊

Light switch didn't work, same on replacement
It looks a lovely light, and initially worked fine, but within half an hour the light switch stopped working. We sent it back and received a replacement, and had exactly the same problem. A bad batch possibly? Amazon refunded. Very disappointed.
