THIS EXTENSION IS A MUST HAVE FOR THE AD200, KEEPS FROM HAVING THE ENTIRE UNIT STICKING OUT THE BACK OF A LIGHT MODIFIER. HELPS PREVENT A TOP-HEAVY LIGHT STAND, PROTECTS YOUR UNIT FROM LIGHT STANDS FALLING OVER AND DAMAGING THE ENTIRE FLASH UNIT BY PLACING ITFURTHER DOWN THE LIGHT STAND.

Just what I was looking for
This is the second EC200 Extension Flash Head I have ordered. Yes, it's one more thing to keep track of and to set up. However, taking the weight off the top of the lightstand when you're a crew of one does make the rest of the set up less of a hassle. Less weight up top + less weight counterweight needed at the bottom of the lightstand. Hand holding the flash head with a handle grip is easier as well.
