I am on my second visor and just lost my third clip. The first visor cracked actually on the visor so the clip fell off. I purchased a replacement visor at great expense and the clip cracked after, well not very much use. I manged to source a replacement clip as this time the visor was not damaged. This clip came off yesterday and I noticed that the screw thread portion had split. It has been on for several weeks and I was very carefull not to overtighten, when I first fitted itbeing that the screw is tiny. To be honest I don't think this is a very good and durable design, having such a weak point on something that will be in constant use and open to the elements. I would never purchase a helmet with a clip on the visor ever again. Shame I really like the helmet, maybe I will try it without the clip for a while and block the gap up with a band aid?

I bought this as the third replacement visor for my HJC IS-17 helmet because the clip had broken off the previous two. The first was replaced free where I bought the helmet but not this one a few months later. This one hardly lasted 6 weeks. What a waste of money. With a denial of a problem from HJC I will be forced to buy a new helmet rather than spend £45 every 6 weeks replacing the visor which is obviously not fit for purpose.
