It's as good as the pictures show.
definitely good quality, and the chess pieces although plastic are very durable, very happy with the purchase.As for age if you've not taught your child not to put plastic objects in their mouth before the age of 3 then Your a Bad Parent.

Horrible
The only nice thing about this is the box.The black and gold is way to much said,the bits are very poor plastics,just horrible little things,nothing like the photos ,''weighted'' ,A complete waste of time ,really poor quality i would stay away from it.

Cheap and nasty pieces
The board is made from wood and is nice enough but the pieces are cheap and nasty. Definitely not worth the £60 I paid. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Extremely dissapointed, pieces are plastic and moulded like toy soldiers, certainly not weighted, bought as a housewarming present, and not worth the money that i have paid for it.

Shame about the chess pieces
Arrived late which was annoying. On the first opening, the pieces were covered in a green fuzz from the green padding inside which was a bit embarrassing as it was a present for someone who had to dust them down. Like previous reviews mention, the pieces themselves have a great design but are let down by the material, very plastic and toy like, and don't feel 'metal weighted' at all. The board is lovely, but as a whole this product is not worth the price paid! Rather disappointed.

Delighted with the quality of the pieces and board
Ordered the set on Monday and it arrived safely on Wednesday! Delighted with the quality of the pieces and board. Seems to be good value for money. I'm sure my grandson will love it!
