Using to store tablets
As other reviewers stated, the product is slightly smaller than expected. The wood is nice quality and it is thick. That makes the openings only 10-7/8" wide. Not enough room for standard paper or spiral notebooks, etc. However, we are using this to store our tablets & electronic devices so it works perfectly for our family. The drawer at the bottom is very shallow, just under 1" deep. Again, fine for us since we are keeping stylus pens in it.

works for me, but lots of rough edges needed sanding
I like the size (wide enough to hold a regular sheet of paper on it's side) and it seems sturdy. I like that the slots are tiered and the front slot is tall enough to hold an envelope, but not so tall that the envelope disappears and can't be seen. But many of the edges were rough and I had to use sand paper to smooth them down so I wouldn't scratch my fingers. It lost some finish where I sanded which I'm fine with, but others may not be. The drawer is raw unfinished wood on the inside so I'll cut some felt to fit in the bottom of it. When looking for something to buy I struggled to understand how how deep the actual slots were - these are 1" deep so in all you get 3" of storage depth - I wish it were a little deeper and could hold a little more.

Arrived in perfect condition without any missing pieces of wood. Not the heaviest quality of wood, but does its job.
