Works better than described
Update: after about 6k miles and 2 years on 2 different types of bikes, still working fine. Upgraded to two identical 52 volt 1300 watt peak bikes as well. I am using the 30 amp version on one and 40 on the other with no noticeable difference, so I recommend the larger one for durability, especially if you are close to the performance limit of these devices. These actually work on a 48v and 52v combination. When the 52 volt runs low the 48v kicks in seamlessly.Using for 3 months now on 750 watt ebike with perfect function.Started on a 16 and 20ah 48v pair and now 16 and 30, riding 25 mile stretches every weekend and 10 to 15 miles other days. Both my batteries have cutoffs, and this seamlessly connects whichever one is on, or has the most power, if both are on.Used the 30 amp version for 6 months and switched to this 40 amp because my motor might peak just above 30, but it never had any issues.Nice to have extra range and not have to fidget with switching batteries on the go

Works great on my Juiced Camp scrambler
I’ll be honest, I was a bit skeptical at first about this product. After a couple days of use, it’s been working great! The box was actually MUCH smaller than I had thought(good thing) and does not seem to be heating up at all. Both batteries appear to be drawing from evenly. This product really does work for connecting two batteries to your bike. My motor is 750w. If you are thinking about adding an extra battery to your bike, do it. Totally worth it for $45

Works beautifully!
After meeting other ebike enthusiasts, I was convinced that I should install a second battery. I didn't like the options I was seeing. Stuff like toggle switches didn't appeal to me. Then I saw a video that used this balancer and immediately thought that this is how I'll add the second battery. So I installed it and used the original stock battery, that I replaced, as the second battery. I couldn't be happier with the result! Sure, the ebike is heavier by a few pounds but that's a small price to pay for extra range.

Does not work
I purchased this converter and installed it on my trike which has two batteries when I tried it out the batteries went down faster than just one battery I took it out for another test ride and before I got 8 miles I was pushing my trike home because one of my batteries was completely down the other one was still up I didn't realize that until I got home. when i got home i removed the converter never to try it again.
