works well and adjusts RPM very precisely.
I like the action and adjustment works well. Only suggestion is to make a longer version for those of us who work on big rigs. It is too short to reach steering wheel, I can still use it by moving the seat up and wedging the tool against it for support. just one extension rod option would be all you need. All thread took care of my needs. I'm verry happy with the tool, the idle time shut down is not driving me crazy anymore!

Meh.
I could see in the pictures that this, and others are just caulk gun mechanisms with a long rod, which is fine, and it does work fine. But it is one of the cheapest types of caulk gun mechanisms. Which, again, does work just fine....but it was $34, and they used a $7 type gun mechanism.I'll keep it, but that bothers me a little. Sort of like wanting a "vacuum hose plug", ordering one for $5, then getting a single repackaged golf tee...yup, it'll work, yup, I asked for it by ordering it for that price. This one was maybe the cheapest one, also.A small problem- the flat bearing surface sticks up 180 degrees from the handle. So if I rest it against the seat, the handle hits the steering wheel. If I rest it against the steering wheel, the handle hits the seat. It is annoying! If you're gonna sell a modified $7 caulk gun for $34, sell something that looks like you tried it out! If the handle and the flat surface were 90 degrees apart, it would work fine. A team of engineers might figure that out, if any of them actually worked on cars.Thinking a little more on that....for $34, they should make the flat bearing surface so it can rotate, so you can put it against what it needs to be, and the handle can be positioned where it needs to be and be clear of other stuff.

It works. It works well.
Was used to depress brake pedal so wheel spacer could be torqued to 100 pounds. I did not need to start engine for the assist. Suggestion: Put the car's floor mat over the seat for protection.

Don't recommend this tool
You are aware that some of us will want to use this tool while the engine is off (no vacuum assist). When the tool is used in this way, the rod bends at the threaded joint. I am using reasonable pressure on the tool. Why wouldn't this be considered when designing such a product. Recommend that anyone considering this to pick a different tool.
