I have had one of these for several years and bought this one for my daughter after she was here helping me in the yard and commented on how nice this one is. This is an extremely sturdy tool, it helps give you a little more leverage when needed and lets you dig a bit deeper. I recommend this tool!

I finally realized if I am walking in the garden at all, I ought to be carrying a tool just in case something needs attention. This 22 inch trowel doubles as a dandelion weeder, and I have also used it to plant my small starts, as well as to dig up some grape hyacinths I unexpectedly found naturalized in the farm turf. When pulling the dandelions or removing the hyacinth bulbs, I just insert the trowel into the soil near the plant........and then insert again on the opposite side, possibly doing another two to four insertions, basically creating a circle around the plant. With the last dig, I wiggle the indestructible trowel back and forth a few times and the entire bundle of hyacinth bulbs is easy to lift out. Similarly the dandelion root is now easy to remove, and I normally can get the entire root. For planting, I find this trowel saves me a lot of work, as it gets in as deeply as needed, and then some. I will carry this trowel with me on my garden walks most days! Highly useful.

Perfect for getting plants out of the ground as well as digging new holes. I've been using it on greenbriar, which if rooted have a large tuber 8" or so down, connected to heavy runners -- very hard to get out of the ground. With this tool, I found myself leaning all my weight (195 pounds) on it to lever the plants up. I didn't do this intentionally and I don't know if I should recommend doing that, but the tool took, and the roots and tuber came up.

The 22" long handled trowel is easy to manage giving great leverage for working heavy soils.It seems almost indestructible meaning it can handle jobs where most trowels would break.Does exactly as promised.

This is just terrific in the garden. Much easier to dig holes for bulbs, dig up plants you want to move, and make holes for new plants. Because of the length you save your wrists a lot of stress and for us older folks, the pain of arthritis. Highly recommend this tool for anyone that does a lot of gardening.

Sharp enough for efficient incisions into the ground and sturdy and long-handled enough to provide great leverage. Good product.

Makes weeding easier by not having to bend down or kneel. Very handy, very well made.

I haven't had an opportunity to try it out yet, but I was very disappointed that this "indestructible" tool had a busted handle upon arrival.
