CRC SP-350 Corrosion Inhibitor 03262 – [Pack of 12] 11 Wt. Oz. Aerosol Spray, Heavy-Duty Rust Preventative Lubricant

I have a small hobby home machine shop in a building that's always humid. Sometimes my lathe and mill are used almost daily, then sit unused for weeks. This stops the lathe ways and mill bed from growing a patina of rust while they sit idle. Also works on cross slides, lathe chucks, rotary tables, lathe and mill tools, and any bare iron or steel surface. It sprays on thin and watery, then dries to a waxy film. Wipes off with a spray of WD40, or other light oil, when it's time to use the machine again. This is NOT a lubricant. Moving parts should be lubed after being wiped clean of the preservative. Stops rust, period. Also great for long term storage of firearms in the off season. A can lasts a long time. A little of this stuff goes a long way. Excellent product, when used as intended, as is everything CRC makes.

This stuff is great for metal that will be stored indoors. Unlike the SP400 which leaves a "cosmoline type" coating, this stuff leaves a light mineral oil coating. Better than WD40 as it doesn't dry out.

Great product, I'm on the oregon coast, I coat machined parts to store weeks or months at a time. It wont evaporates over time like wd40 and other spray on lubes.When I need the part the sp350 wipes off easily and fast. Great product for long term gun storage too.

I work in a shop in North Carolina where we can see the ocean from one side of the building, so we have salty air in addition to extremely high humidity for much of the year. I haven't had anything rust that I've kept a coat of this stuff on so far.
