Yes, it’s a little on the heavy side but once you start using it, you kind of get used to it and you don’t feel it as much. I wish I would’ve gotten a thicker point. I got the ultra fine but still pretty nice.

Pen writes beautifully, the craftsmanship is far more than I expected, only downside is that it is seriously heavy. Not complaining, in the slightest but definitely be warned that it's pretty heavy.

It is a beautiful gothic collectible piece, and it writes just fine as a fountain pen, whether you load ink cartridges or use the converter to fill it with liquid ink from a bottle. It also has substantial weight, which feels good and solid in the hand. Just be sure to wear surgical gloves and spread plenty of paper towels when filling it with ink to avoid ink smudges going everywhere. Also, ink bottles and cartridges are dirt cheap in bulk, so for a low price you never have to run out.

To say I like this pen is an understatement. Mind you it is VERY HEAVY. but made of beautiful materials at the highest quality level! First day using it I received nothing but compliments. Definitely would recommend for fans of a quality fountain pen!

I love the pen. The design is amazing. The only thing is when I got mine the top skull came loose.

Pen is sturdy . Has a good weight when you are writing . However the nib on this Jinhao is not the best . Within the week the nib tip was already slightly splitting and became uneven , Tried the push and roll method to try and get the nib to be uniform . Did not work .Just like any fountain pen you have to be careful not to drop it and break the nib this way. When buying this type of fountain pen you do have to take the weight of the pen in mind . Due to the fact that it will be more prone to slip and break the nib . So be careful where you place the pen or it might fall and break the nib.
