Rower Enhancement
Have the Concept2 rower and greatly enjoy it but any rowing over 20 minutes made my tailbone quite sore. After 35 minutes, my left leg would start to go numb. Quite hard to row with one leg. I gave it several weeks and I just never adjusted. I even switched to intervals so I could stand up during the rest interval to get blood flowing again. Not ideal but was better than the alternative. In comes the Hornet Watersports Memory Foam Cushion. I researched quite a few of these. Wasn't sure if I wanted straps, how thick, etc. Turns out, this one is perfect for me. It's a couple inches thick and has no straps. No straps are needed -- it sits on the seat and even when I'm giving 'er, there is zero movement. It does cause you to sit up an inch or two higher which changes the dynamic a little. I played around with the foot straps to get in the correct position. I think I'm good with that -- legs feel like rubber after a decent row so that seems I'm doing something right. The most important thing though, is that it allows me to row longer. I can easily go 40+ minutes now without any of the pain or numbness I had before. I've been using it for a few weeks now, a few times a week. It has compressed a little but not enough to matter. It still provides the same protection/comfort. I'm really glad I purchased this. Well worth the price -- which, at first, seems steep for a cushion. For what it provides, I'm willing to pay.

firmly packed under
the price makes it hard to decide at first. However, after it has been tried on my machine, it turns out very satisfying, at least in 2 aspects that seem somewhat surpassing a cushion (of mine) 1/2 its price. It does not require strap attachment yet sticks admirably during the rowing - yet is easily detachable; it provides the very-welcome degree of firmness not found in the other cheaper cushion that flattens out; it covers a surface a tad larger than the original seat. In all, except for the scary pricetag, this cushion responds well on my air rower(NS-7874RW - $560) which is the Marcy equivalent to the Concept2. Problem solved!

Extended comfort for extended rowing sessions
I've done half-marathons on my rower where I had to take breaks solely because of how uncomfortable my rear end was getting. Even going an hour, I could start to feel it going numb and bothering me. As simple as this - a thick pad - it makes a world of difference. I've been doing hour-long sessions no problem, still as comfortable as I was when I started. Only downside is, while the grip for the seat works fairly well, I notice it moving about slightly, and I'm guessing it'll move even more if you go a lot harder than I do for a while (didn't notice any major movement when I was doing 100m sprints, but that's only a few seconds), which, based off my rankings, most people do. Still, since I'm looking for endurance, and not sheer speed, this does the trick allowing me to row longer distances before getting uncomfortable.

Fits my Pooboo Rowing Machine Seat Perfectly
This is it. Stop looking. This is very high density memory foam. I’m a 230 lb man, I don’t squish down to tailbone like cheaper blue gel/foam pads all do. It also fits my seat exactly, meaning the seat of Pooboo rowing machine (bought also on Amazon), must be same size as Concept2 machine. I mean perfectly, with 1/2” overhang all round. Dense memory foam. Doesn’t move.. Love this seat.Day 2 morning workout: This really is THE pad. I was able to comfortably push myself harder. This is the pad that should be included with every rowing machine. Period. Drops mic…

The cushion is made for the job.
The cushion has no straps so i was a little worried it would slip or move when used, it dose not move and stays put which is superb, it does some cushioning, better than the solid seat. Im impressed thumbs up from me.

Prevents the transition to butt torture during long rowing sessions
A great solution for the Concept 2, that prevents the transition to butt torture during long rowing sessions. It is kinda overly thick, but I think it compresses down, after a little bit, to something like half the initial thickness, which is totally acceptable. It works!

Not like pic
Picture in description product is misleading. No way is this soft enough to leave a hand imprint. It's an improvement to the original seat, but not as soft as I would have thought it would be from the picture. No give in the materials.

works well on Concept 2 rowing machine
Bought this cushion to put on the hard seat of a Concept 2 rowing machine. It's much more comfortable now to row using this cushion. I wish it had straps , but it has a non skid that seems to work ok. Buy this and your butt will thank you
