Q: Are these candies super sweet like US candies?

it's mostly little chocolates, which have various things added or inside. there are some hard candies and gummies but those are usually the minority. i don't really know what the barometer is for "super" sweet, but if you're asking whether they're as obviously sugary as something like starbursts or airheads or laffy taffy, the answer is generally no.

Q: Approximately how many candies are there per pound? (I'd like to buy enough for each of the 2nd graders at my child's school to have one.)

All I can say is that what this picture shows is what I can remember getting. Not all my coworkers are it but I had over ruffly 15 to 20 people and I would say at least 10 to 12 adults are some. Sorry if this doesn't help. I brought this candy two years ago so my estimate might be off by a couple of people.
