Scarlet Darkness Women Victorian Renaissance Dress Ruffle High Low Dress with Drawstring S-2XL

I’m obsessed with this dress! I ordered a Large because a lot of reviews I saw were saying it ran small or was too tight up top, but I had plenty of room. I should’ve stuck with my normal size of Medium (usually wear a 6/8 in dresses) which was exactly what the size chart recommended. So in my opinion the dress is true-to-size, but maybe if you have a larger chest it would make sense to size up since there’s not much stretch. My measurements are 34C-30-40; I’m 5’6” and about 150lbs, for reference. I’m still going to keep the dress because I planned to wear it with a corset and a poufy petticoat anyway; and you can tighten the strings in back a lot so it’ll still work for my Halloween costume (Nadja from WWDITS), and I will totally wear this in my day-to-day life as well.Overall I’m so impressed with how well-made the dress is and what a great price for such a versatile piece that can be dressed up or down and styled in so many ways. I will definitely be buying more Scarlet Darkness items in the future!

This dress was excellent for a costume party. We ordered in true size and it was a little tight around the sleeves and bust. Returned it and went a size up, and it worked great! Loved the adjustable skirt length.

This was really pretty but I returned it immediately after trying it on. First off it was completely see through! 😳 like you could see everything right through the dress. Normally SD dresses are lined but not this one I guess. Second, it was way too tight across the chest. I’m not very well endowed in that department and was just wearing a tshirt bra and I felt like I could barely breath. It fit really well everywhere else and was pretty comfortable. The fabric was a nice and cool blend I think, not too thick or hot and it had a nice drape to it. It’s not elastic at all, so make sure you check the measurements. There were some wrinkles straight out of the bag but they could be easily steamed out with a steamer. I liked the details like the corset in the back but I wish it cinched the waist instead of the chest. The drawstrings in the front are super cute and I love having the ability to change the length, I just wish it was lined and wasn’t so tight on the chest. Overall pretty but didn’t work for me.

These are top notch. Well made and great material. Packages nicely. I would order their products again.

I actually returned this product because it didn't fit true to size. I ordered a 2X, because I wear a 1X but I wanted to make sure that it fit. It was too tight in the arms. Otherwise it was a beautiful dress.
