Great product, budget-minded, nice wiring upgrade
I used cheaper 16-gauge wire without plugs for years. As I started to upgrade my speakers I realized it was time to upgrade the wiring as well. Part of the upgrades included plugs since my speakers and AVR accepts plugs. My AVR sits in a shallow media cabinet and the right angled plugs save space and keep things very tidy without pinching or kinking the wire. See before and after pics.It takes some time to install the plugs (versus using bare wire) but the treatment is worth it for looks and simplicity when connecting/disconnecting the wires from components. Installation was very simple. I did not run into any problems.I paired these plugs with KabelDirekt 14-gauge wire. I highly suggest this wire for budget oriented systems as the pricing is in-line with these plugs. I'm using a 3.1 setup with Klipsch Reference (L/R/C) speakers and a Pioneer VSX-821K AVR. Note, the plugs required quite a bit of force to insert them into the speakers and the AVR. I had to brace the opposite side of the components when inserting the plugs but after they were installed the connection felt very solid, not too tight and the sound was great.Instructions I used: Simply remove the rubber sheath and install it on the wire first - this is important. Unscrew the 2 small bolts until they are flush with the inside of the plug. Strip about 1/4" of wire and twist if needed. Insert the wire with medium force into the plug until it's inserted all the way then secure the 2 bolts using hand tightening with a small flathead precision driver. Give the wire a gentle tug to test and replace the rubber sheath. All done.

Quality for a great price
I have a lot of Monoprice stuff. These worked perfectly. Easy to put on the cables and have a tight fit. Anything Monoprice cables, connections are always great

Nice Quality, Made in Taiwan
Worked well and easy to use. Glad to see these were made in Taiwan, but I imagine Monoprice could change their sourcing at random.

Nice banana plugs for tight spaces
Purchase several packs of these plugs for various uses. The mini-screw terminals are bit fickle to work with (you need a tiny flat head screwdriver) but they hold very well and the dual screw design provides good conductivity. The plastic sleeves are very nice in tight working spaces, like the back of a multi-channel receiver, to prevent accidental shorting from the plugs touching one another. The plugs are a tight fit, so may be best for situations where you want the plugs to stay in place.

Useful for tight spaces and angled binding posts
Like others have written, I need to fit my AV receiver in a shallow-depth cabinet. These work very well for that purpose, especially after I cut my speaker cables on a bias so that the plugs can all fit (see photos). I am using 14 AWG stranded cables. I bought a 10-pack and happy to report that I had no missing screws or loose connections. The plugs fit snugly in my AVR's and speakers' binding posts.Bonus: My speakers' binding posts are angled upward and work best with either bare wires or spade connectors (see photos). Straight banana plugs would stick up at an awkward angle. These right angle plugs solve that problem.

Great combo of quality & value
I’d never installed any banana plug on speaker cable before so I was a bit nervous how attaching these would work out. I ended up being pleasantly surprised how easy it was—it’s tedious work (but that’s the case for all banana plugs) but installing was easy; I put these on 14 gauge wire. There’s two things you need to make attaching banana plugs easily: a) a QUALITY pair of wire strippers, and b) a screwdriver with a precision bit that fits the flat bead screws perfectly—any computer/electronic repair kit should work.Lastly just wanted to mention an installation tip: make sure you slide the red/black plastic shield onto your wire before screwing on the plugs, that way you can easily slide the shield up over the connector.

Plugs are awsome as expected... but as for the QC... left much to be desired....
I usually order these directly from monoprice... but this time I ordered from Amazon.... And this is what happened when unplug from my amp: the pieces are broken into pieces... Luckily I was able to pry the pins from my amp terminal.... I think I have to test all the remainder pairs (8) before (if) I want to use them at all... Either way, I am now out of one plug....
