This was pretty good
This was good rice, although the last batch had weird maggots or bugs in it. I tried to cook it anyway, but there were just too many to ignore, so I threw out the bag and took a break from this brand. But before that, it was good Japanese sticky rice. Easy to eat with chopsticks, if you are learning how to use them.

This deserves 0 stars
I am very surprised to write this as I assume this is a Japanese company. This item had worms in the rice box. I am hesitant on posting a video because it is disgusting and I left the entire box outside. I will take a video before putting it in the trash.Unfortunately, I would not recommend to my friends and family.

Great rice from Iwate prefecture!
I've been trying different brands/sources of Japanese white rice for a few years now, just for the sake of variety. I'm no expert or enthusiast, but I do eat rice just about every day! This particular rice has been a winner, to me. It washes easily, cooks well, tastes great, and doesn't cost a whole lot (comparatively speaking.) It's a nice, soft, plump, chewy, slightly sweet rice. Great as a side dish, or even by its self.

Great texture, low aroma and flavor
I cook this rice in a Zojirushi NS-ZAC18, using the sushi level of water and the "harder" setting. These settings result in a really nice, slightly chewy "al dente" sort of texture for the rice. Grains stay fairly separate, and the rice has a very pretty stark white color. Once cooked, the grains are fairly resilient: Adding additional liquid (sushi seasoning, for example, or any sort of sauce) does not result in mushiness. All of the above are really great qualities, but the issue is that this rice is very bland. It has little aroma and virtually no discernible flavor. This can be good e.g. for sushi, if you're looking for a rice that has excellent texture and won't overwhelm delicate fish, but for day-to-day use I find it to be quite boring. This is rice that absolutely needs some sort of sauce, furikake, or whatever, to wake it up.While this rice certainly has its place I'll reserve it for use cases where rice flavor isn't the star.

A bit pricy but you get from Japan and very sweet!!!
I tried as I know Iwate is good for rice too and super yummy. As it says on the ad it is so sweet and fluffy. I enjoy this so much despite its a bit pricy.

Worth it if you have extra money
One of the better rice bags I've ever bought from Amazon that's from Japan. Probably not worth it for most but great for me since this tastes more like what I was used to having in Japan when cooked properly
