durable USB hub with card reader
Re-pruchased after the last one started having issues after about 4+ years. Two USB ports worked intermittingly as did the SD Card reader. I'm constnatly plugging and unplugging USB drives, cables, and a headset multiple times a day for each so it was used heavily and lasted about as long as you would expect for that usage. For the price and how long it lasted definitely worth it. NOTE: It will NOT charge a device AND power a device like a gaming headset at the same time without the optional power plug.

Decent budget USB hub and card reader
Does exactly what is says. I use the USB ports not only for flash drives but also for a wired mouse and a laptop cooling fan/base. I haven't had any issues with compatibility and it detects everything I've used. Before purchasing, I read some reviews about people losing data. Maybe it was nothing related to the card reader. Maybe you jammed the memory card too hard into the slot?I've never had any type of media suddenly lose files just by plugging it into a USB port. If you're relying solely on this to read or transfer Jr's baseball game footage for when he gets to the Major leagues or your company financial portfolio, you might want to buck-up and spend more money on a better solution. This is an average card reader/hub as far as speed. If you're a photographer that's transferring a 128gb photoshoot, go make some coffee while you're waiting. For getting files from one computer to another, or you just need some extra ports and need to put your phone somewhere besides the desk, then this thing is for you.

Really nice and usefull
bought this device in mid-November ago. My idea was to have a base for my smartphone and to have 3 USB ports for quick access, since my pc has the USB ports only on the back.In my configuration, I have a USB C cable connected, to charge a rechargeable mouse that I have and to connect my mobile (not to charge it), a USB lamp, and the usb dongle for the wireless keyboard. I have also used it to read usb 3.0 memory sticks without problem and for a low consumption OTG SSD disk.Design:It fulfills the purpose very well. I have a Hawei Mate 20X, which is a huge smartphone, with more than 7.1 inches of screen, and it fits perfectly on the base. Don't move, don't feel strange. If I put a small foam on the part of the base where the mobile sits, since the front support fence is somewhat high and made it difficult to use the virtual buttons of the mobile. But by giving it a little height it was perfect. If used with a phone with a thick case or a tablet, they are perfectly secure in place with a good viewing angle.Connection:It works well for USB 2.0, and 3.0 low-power devices. I am talking about connectors for keyboards or mice, printers, a USB lamp, a communication cable. To charge or operate devices with higher electrical consumption, an external power source is used. It must be taken into account that all the power is being obtained from 1 USB port, and that in turn must give power to the components of the device. I have used memory sticks without problem, and an OTG SSD disk without problem. But if I had problems connecting an external USB disk, and I am sure it is because the required power was not enough. And forget about wanting to use it with a cam, because it won't work without an external source.Cable:The cable is short, which is better in this case, since the unit is made to be next to the pc, not to have a cable in the way. So at least I like how long it is, since it allows me to put it anywhere on the desk, without having to think about where to hide the extra cable.SD portsI have only used it for a mobile SD card and I read and write it without any problem.

Exactly what you’d expect
I bought this hub to plug into my smart tv, to watch movies from various usb drives and sd cards. It does exactly that. The size of the hub is perfect and not to large. The cord length is perfect. I have no issues whatsoever loading any media through the hub.

USB 3.0 card reader that does its job with flying colors
By far, the best product of this type I have had to date (and have gone through at least 10 different models). Some features I do like about it:- long USB cable (no need to extra adapters)- very good build quality (looks esthetically nice, is sturdy, no sharp edges, gaps, holes, etc.)- sits stable on my desk (could have an added wight inside, something to consider for the future, but it is sitting there with no issues)- 3 USB 3.0 ports on the panel, make using pen drives much simpler- decent spacing between individual USB ports mean even largest pen drives will fit next to each other with no issues- most common media cards supported (unless you have something really exotic, this device will work for you)- blazing fast (SSD connected via USB 3.0 port was hitting 100MB/s consistently)Features I do not care for much personally:- phone holder (meh, nothing super handy)Any issues to date:- none really- super bright blue LED can be rather distracting if you work in the dark

Added ports are great.

3.5 years of use.
The product was very convenient for 3.5+ years of use. This week there are issues. One USB port is glitchy like a short somewhere. And the card readers stopped working altogether. For the price and how I transport this equipment, I would say that it definitely performed above many other products.
