I bought this for a 2021 Ram 3500 dually. I liked the swivel idea to position off the side or back. The instructions were severely lacking any information that was helpful and the rivets/bolts were nearly impossible to install on a tailgate that does not have a completely flat surface. It also came with a rivet-tool that I was unable to use due to it being impossible to hold tightly to the base (useless). I decided to make my own anchors and use metal screws to attach the base and locking latch to the tailgate. It was quite a process but once I ran to the hardware store and got the proper hardware, it didn’t take long to install. After installation, I tried it out. It’s very wobbly and twists as you walk up the steps. The solution is to step as closely to the right side of the ladder as possible, but I am still very careful. That all being said, it’s better than climbing up into the truck bed without anything to assist. If you have poor balance or aren’t confident around finding and using a different type of install kit than they provide I would recommend another ladder system.

The hardware included was basically useless on mounting to tail fate. The nut plates wouldn't hold on swivel plate. The rivets popped out on latch plate. Had to mount wit metal bolts and lock washers of my own. Design of swivel to position ladder works well and steps are sturdy. So if you handy you can make it functional without much hassel.
