Crompton Zelus DAC Desert Air Cooler- 43L, with Everlast Pump, 4-Way Air Deflection and Honeycomb Pads, Grey, (ACGC-ZELUSDAC43)

I was searching for budget branded desert cooler for bedroom. Initially for this price I could only find personal cooler from bajaj and symphony. I did find desert hindware 45l for this price but the motors fans hardly working for 8 months as per reviews. After thorough research I got this for 6.5k I was surprised to see crompton desert cooler for this low price .Even thought no reviews I just went for it and I more than satisfied with product.It is easily sufficient for 3 members and one single bed room and within 1 hr it cools the entire room with fan speed set to medium or low. It has 3 honey comb pads covering all sides and it has good water pump and has nice water flow inside.Fans is very powerful can feel the air from 5 to 10mBut fan speed is quite loud that is only con I found.And build quality is solid . Genuine plastic material.it does have automatic swing for sideways.So if ur looking for good branded desert cooler for single room, bed room for 3 members it's good option.

We procured this after researching and visiting many stores. This is the cheapest desert cooler and from a well known brand. Crompton Greaves has put in a 105 watt fan based cooler that has 45 litre capacityThe cons are there is no dedicated opening to fill water and the level indicator has low and medium this is really bad design flaw. The cooler speed is high, medium and low that hardly has variation.The effective cooling is top notch so no compliant and really sturdy plastic with ice cube holderAll in all good product and amazon provided the cooler in less than 18 hrs end to end

Considered this cooler for medium bed room.Amazon given fantastic and super fast delivery in 26hrs. Here are the pros and cons of this cooler.Pros:1.Good cooling.2.Panels are fixed properly.3.Hexagonal pads.Cons:1.Side and back panels not removable easily.2.Not provided any water inlet.3.Power cord is so shor (you need to use additional switch box).4.Wheels not fixed (you need to fix those).5.Fan is with fiber wings.6.It is not a desert cooler it is just personal cooler.7.Front panel not closing fully still there is some gap.8.Making big sound while operation.9. Tired of with the Repairs just after completed 1 yearOver all under 6.5K it is ok-ish cooler for 2-3 people in a small room but not value for money in my opinion. If available consider bajaj PX97 36L varient which is 1k cheaper, makes less noise, consume less power and overall value for money.

This cooler has a good powerful motor which is helpful for a large room or a small hall. It looks good too. But other than that, i don't know what to like. Packaging was good and assembling it was easy. The castor wheels are of good quality too.Cons:1. The speed difference between High, Med & Low is very small. Putting it in Low or High doesn't make any difference. With this speed, it's a big discomfort to put in small rooms. Also, when you start the cooler, it starts with High, then Med, then Low. Since there isn't any difference, it's pointless to have these options.2. There are only 4 vertical leafs for swinging left to right which makes it pointless. The air moves only around 60° left to right. And so the air flow is mainly for those who sit right in front of the cooler.3. There is no dedicated water inlet for the cooler (check picture). It says water inlet in the back but no provision for it. For someone who doesn't have any hose, this will be a nightmare to fill it up. Water spills out when filling through the lower portion of the honeycomb pad.4. Water level indicator is only upto medium. It is very difficult to know the water level beyond Med.5. The wire is so short that the socket has to be near the door or window (Considering cooler requires adequate ventilation). Now I'll need to buy an socket extension. This nullifies the meaning of portability.6. Instruction provided is in general for all Crompton coolers & not specific to Zelus range. This doesn't have instruction on how to remove and clean the honeycomb pads or any instructions on how to clean the cooler from inside. Once you fill water inside, it remains there until it evaporates. Cleaning is very difficult.On a daily use basis, practicality is lacking. Cooling is good but mainly if this had a lower speed setting would have been more helpful. From my experience, I wouldn't recommend buying this model.

Very nice product. Air flow is good enough for mid size room. Value for money.

Timely delivered with good protective packaging.Overall it looks like a good cooler. Air throw and air coverage area is also good. Not a loud sounding cooler as it is just 105 watt. I was specially trying to find less bulky and overall portable cooler and it fits into this category.I haven't operated it in hot summer days above 40°C uptill now.Will definitely review it thoroughly in May-June..

Worst service experience with this cooler. After just 4 days, cooler motor abruptly turns off and automatically starts in sometime. This has repeatedly happened while using the cooler for few hours. Amazon refused replacement from their end and said it’s from brand side only, and after checking with brand they confirmed that replacement wont be provided from brand side instead they can just help with warranty claim.
