I built my prototype water feature and have never had to clean the filter. The pump that keeps on pumping. It works better than advertised.

I bought this to feed an external filter for my koi pond. The exhaust tubing nozzle was hard to rig with my existing filter. When solved that issue the pump was way too powerful for my rig. Tuned it down and used the prefilter foam. It was clogged within a couple of hours. Suggestion! Only use in clear water applications. I haven't had it long enough to comment on longevity.

Did a water fountain bird bath 10+ years ago. This pump has been running since then. The feature freezes up a little in the winter, the pump runs on. Spring Summer and Fall as long as we keep water in, it runs. Have to clean the filter and the impeller/armature but it keeps on running. The bearing ends did get out of shape, bearings worn. It was still pumping. I got a new pump cause I like the way this one held up. All the bird and squirrel and chipmunk and deer and others drink and enjoy. I will buy again.

Great efficient item

Works well. Stopped working after 3 months. Not sure how the motor burned out. Used probably 10 minutes at a time a couple of times a week. I suspect it doesn't hold up well to being frozen.

Over the years we have used several different fountain pumps. This is the first one, due to it's long filter design, that rarely clogs up. The only issue is that racoons love to remove the filters!
