Great Value but treat gently
Because of my work as a writer/researcher and working with editors I use three screens - my laptop and a screen on each side of my laptop screen. And recently I have been traveling. Four different destinations for a few weeks at each destination over the past four months. Three screens is fantastic for the kind of work I do. It would take me maybe three times longer to do my work if I didn't have such a great little system.I plug these monitors into a powered USB hub and all is good. I needed to configure my displays so that I can drag something from the AOC on the left, through the screen on my laptop, and onto the AOC screen on the right. Elegant. It works perfectly. When I needed to travel I found that these monitors and my laptop and cables ... ALL went beautifully into my computer bag. And I can set the system up in only a few minutes and then do my writing efficiently.I am VERY happy and would buy these again. And, in fact, I DID buy them again ... and here is the caveat:These are SENSITIVE products. They can be damaged easily through mishandling ... but still ... too easily blemished. In a hotel in Niagara Falls they didn't have a big enough desk so I propped everything up on an ironing board ... with my additional keyboard on the table below. The ironing board tilted and one of the AOC monitors fell maybe 8 to 10 inches ... and there was a small blemish - about 1.25 inches by .5 inches in the top part of the monitor near the upper rim and about 3 inches from the right side of the monitor. And a similar blemish (half the size) on the bottom near the monitor rim on the left side. BUT ... it still had a great picture except for those two areas. I had no serious problem using the screen. On my FOURTH trip ... something happened to the other blemish-free monitor WHILE it was in my bag. I don't think I hit it with anything but ... the screen was almost useless ... it had a 1 inch wide section from the top rim to the bottom rim ... exactly in the middle of the screen ... and it was blank. Disturbing looking so ...I ordered two monitors AGAIN.Remember, these were purchased in Canada for like $116 EACH! I have never seen a better price. Yes, they are sensitive, but the price is excellent and the picture quality is, to me, also excellent ... just not the durability. I have two bigger and more durable monitors at home ... but THAT set up was about $550! And is big, heavy, cumbersome. I can't travel with them.So ... I LOVE these AOC monitors. They are perfect for what I need. They help me work away from home ... and in my new home coming up I will have no reason to use the large monitors from my old home so I will give them to another writer/researcher friend.BUT ... while I strongly recommend these monitors I strongly recommend that buyers get the extra warranty ... in case your AOC monitors get too 'sensitive' and are a bother to look at. I did NOT get the extra warranty for the first two. I have never damaged a monitor before ... but I had never traveled extensively before. I have the extra warranty with the second two monitors. It is not expensive for an extra level of protection ...Enjoy these monitors. I do. Every. Day.

Need a great portable monitor for travel at a reasonable price? Look no further!
I work remotely from home, but sometimes I need to work in a different remote location while visiting friends, family, etc. and I really need a second monitor (in addition to my laptop) to work efficiently. But who wants to schlep a standard PC monitor with them, especially if you are flying? To find a solution, I Googled portable monitors and this came up. After some research, this was the cheapest one with the best reviews. I was able to buy it Amazon refurbed for $83. SWEET DEAL!I did have some reservations because my work laptop is on Windows 10, and some reviewers claimed that it didn't work with that version of Windows. But other reviewers insisted it did, though a few more steps might need to be taken. I decided what the heck, I could return it if it didn't work out and pressed the Buy Now button. The monitor arrived in perfect condition. The packaging is well designed but still uses a minimum of materials, almost all of which is recyclable to boot. The monitor was well protected and the instructions included offered not 1 but 3 different ways to install the needed driver, in case one didn't work. Option 1, plug and play, didn't work for me. But by following the second option to install the driver manually, I had the monitor up and running in less than 10 minutes total. My laptop immediately recognized the monitor after the driver was installed, and added it to the other 3 I use normally (I work in IT). So I could even use it as a 4th monitor, if I wanted to! But alas, not enough desk space. #firstworldproblemsPicture quality is excellent. The color and contrast aren't quite as bright as I would like though, which is why I gave that aspect only 4 stars. I tried adjusting the display settings for these but Windows didn't really give me the option to. #firstworldproblems (again)The monitor is light and the built in stand works great. Folds flat, and the USB input is inside the recessed stand area. The open stand design allows the USB cable to be threaded through it, which is a nice feature. I love that there is no separate power cord, the display and power BOTH work off the USB cable. Another nice design feature, just saying!Seriously, folks, RUN, do not walk to buy this, especially if you can get a good deal like I did. Other travel monitors were $150 and up. But their ratings and reviews weren't any better. The price on Amazon has gone up for both the refurbished and the new one since I bought mine. I would use Amazon Assistant or Honey's Droplist to monitor the price and see if it comes down again at all.I hope you find this review as helpful as I think this monitor will be.Peace out, peeps!

Very well thought out
I was very surprised that this works as well as it does. It only requires one USB connection, but has another one ias back up in case you don’t have enough power going to it. It is incredibly easy to use and I may have to buy a couple more.
