Excellent helmet! Well designed!
I bought it to myself after a couple of weeks of working late, my boss gave me a good bonus just in time I get to know this helmet was being sold, so I purchased my self as a little reward.Helmet is very comfortable, you can wear it all day long! Design is true to original series, not super glossy like some custom mades, it even it has the snap clips on the outside like the tv show! Mine does not have the color difference between the front and back cover like earlier post from late 2016 or beginnings of 2017, however it shows a difference between glossiness. As an architect, I can say the design team really solved the ventilation issue in a real clever way, the visor has vents on the sides just when it meets the teeths (see pictures) those are not noticeable at all! It blends well with the design, also, to vent hot air inside that accumulates at the top, it has the original black line trimming around the eyes, such lines are continuous slots that lets hot air exit from the top letting fresh air enter from the bottom, simple physics. Vents makes it still comfortable to wear even if it is 95-98ºF.On the safety matter, how the helmet assembles and nature of materials clearly not engineered to meet safety regulations, I will not recommend it at all for safety purposes, it is just not intended for safety, it will not protect you any more than a $4dlls hat! Plus the visor can be a real hazard in an impact. Just use it as it is; a toy, cosplay or a collectors item.On the inside part, it has straps similar to the construction helmets, were you can adjust diameter and height to set your eyes centered to the visor, box says it will fit a 21-23in circumference, however I'm 24in (61cm) on my road bike helmet and construction helmets and it fit me just right in the last setting, a bit snug but I don't mind, helmet overall is big, so if you have a small frame it will look quite large, I'm 6'-1" (182lb) regular frame and it looks quite proporsionate to my taste. The view from inside is not spectacular, it is not polarized lens or with a fancy treatment, just plain tinted acrylic, however it lets you see clear enough, the fact you have no reflections coming from the back or sides of your head allows you to see clearly outside. But it does have some reflections coming in from the top slotted vents, but I don't think is a big problem.About the fog/blur factor due respiration I can't say much at this point, weather at this moment in my place does not forms fog easily, it is very hot right now, I tried to see the fog formations when I exhale with my nose and could barely see it, internal air currents clear away from visor, but if I exhale with my mouth it is a different subject, it does forms fog easily, as long as you exhale with your nose, I don't think it's a big deal but it may be a problem in a cold atmosphere with temperature differences between the inside and outside helmet. It also comes with a stand that holds and displays the helmet very nice! Stand has a legend of "mighty morphing red ranger" with gold letters, really 90's! I like it, However depending on the height setting on the straps it will vary the display height since stand supports the helmet by the straps inside.Overall, I believe it is a very good purchase for $50dlls, I can say $80dlls is still a good price, don't know if I will pay more than $100dlls, but quality and design considerations they worth it.I do recommend this helmet! Good quality, good design, good materials and true to original series tv series.

Its a great cosplay and display piece at a sane affordable price
This is a great adult sized collectable prop helmet. Not perfect, but it has enough good going for it for 5 stars. The good;- The sculpt is great. It perfectly captures the look of the show. And has far more subtle detail and complexity than I was expecting. Such as the black panel lines and the seemingly separate pieces for the dino eyes on the temples.- The fit is surp[risingly good. I'm a large man with a big head. I have very little issues getting into or out of it, beyond having to fold flat my ears. The mask is 2 main pieces, front and back, well hinged together at the top. So you open it, insert your face into the front half, rather like a welders mask, then carefully lower the back until the tounge and grooves are engaged and the clips catch. (You might need some help getting it all on and settled if you are using it for true cosplay.- Visibility when wearing the helmet is surprisingly good. I have the Hasbro Legands Iron Man and the Stormtrooper and Kylo Ren helmets. You can't see squat out of those. I assume the StarLord one will be just as bad. But this has a nice decent field of view. a little dark and fuzzy, like looking through cheap warped sunglasses. But you will be able to perform basic tasks such as finding the restroom while behelmeted.- It comes with a Helmet stand!!! Super Double Bonus Points for this!!! If I could give a 6th star I would give it for this alone. The stand is lightweight plastic and feels a little flimsy, but it is there, and it does the job.- The helmet is surprisingly sturdy. While in no way in spec for something like a motorcycle or safety helmet, this sucker is strong enough to take a blow. The Not as Good;- Paintwork is crisp, but marred a bit by the shear volume of unpainted bare plastic. All of the red. Which makes it look like plastic. A nice shiny enamel paint would have vastly improved the look and added some shine to it. It might be able to fix this yourself with some heavy layers of clear lacquer.- The two spring clips at the base of the helmet that secure the front and back together really stand out. They could have been better hidden. Similarly with the front to back seam. I know a lot of the Star Wars roleplayers fill in such seams, but I think if you do that you have a too small neck hole to get you head in.- While visibility is great, ventilation is not. This thing lacks in air holes. This causes two problems. The first the visor will fog leaving you blind. This can be easily remedied with a wipe of that visor stuff that motorcyclists and scuba divers use to prevent fogging. The second lack of airflow is a self correctling problem. Eventually you will pass out and fall down from lack of oxygen, which should in most cases create a rush of fresh air preventing unwanted things like death or brain damage. Also be aware that the neck opening on this helmet is smaller than that found on many other SF helmets. If you have a very large neck you might have some constriction there. (before I had Thyroid surgery this one would have been a problem for me.)Overall it's a great display piece. A really good cosplay or role play piece, and just a cool nostalgic thing to have. Tell your wife it's new safety gear for mowing the lawn!

Cool helmet display but personally, not cosplay worthy
Just received this today from Amazon. It is a nice product. very clean cut and the colors all match all around. The teeth portion are painted silver which is nice and distinctive from the stock photo. I own a white ranger helmet prop which I use for cosplay. This helmet has a great headband harness which keeps the helmet in place and set on your head. This product is not something I would use for cosplay. It looks great, but the color is more of a matte finish as opposed to the tv show version being shiny and a brighter tint. It is also made of a hard plastic which gives it a nice feel but it isn't made of fiberglass or any real cosplay material. Once putting it on, its pretty visible to look through. I also appreciate that the helmet is a two piece but connected and held together by a middle plastic arch way that keeps the two pieces together while trying to place the helmet on. I didn't get any fog up on the lens but I think its because they did such a great job integrating vents around the helmet through the T-rex eyes, nose and jaw portions. You don't really see the vents unless you look at it at an angle. The reason why I gave it 4 stars because even though its a great and nice product, It really isn't worth the $88-100 dollars that is listed. There is nothing special about it other than the helmet itself and the stand included. Also, sadly, the box that it comes in was crushed :( the box was handled pretty badly. Just sayin.

Good for the price.
It has the correct shape and is perfectly symmetrical unlike handmade cosplay helmets. However, It is a little bit bigger than one would assume. It's scale is more like 1.2 to 1 than 1:1. It has that flat plastic toy look. Needs a clear coat. Also the rear section is a different shade of red than the rest. The visor is hard to look through, I'd swear there's a protective film on it but there isn't. It's really good for a headache if used to watch the show lol.*Buy a replacement visor for a face shield from a hardware store. it is perfect plastic and is actually made to take damage. Should be about $5, then you get window tint from wherever and tint it (use soapy water to apply and squeegee all the water out from the center outwards. Then use heavy scissors to cut out your visor and drill some screw holes to screw it in. You will then have a 100% see through visor which actually has a safety rating. If you do this you'll want to add the air holes under the visor above the top lip like in the show. @ViperGTS96

Great but only a bit awkward..
Very good quality although large. Makes a skinny, short guy like myself look incredibly disproportionate. This can be mostly remedied with the adjusting straps but still makes me look like a bobble head. Haha..Only -real- con here is the fact that you're going to need help putting it on or taking it off. I, personally, struggle to get it lined up and shut properly while wearing it and struggle just as much getting it off..In the end, compared to the expensive custom made helms you can get, this is by far the best helmet you can get at its price. Hopefully we can get the rest of the MMPR crew in the future.
