Very hard to turn
The spout was almost impossible to open and close when I got it. I applied some machine oil, but it didn't help much. So I repeatedly sprayed it with a spray lubricant and worked it in. It finally loosened up somewhat. It still doesn't operate as easily as my old one.

Very handy
Original spout finally broke. Bought it in the late 70's in England. Found this one the day mine broke and had it in a few days. Funny how you get attached to the most silly things.

Almost impossible to turn open without using a pair of pliers.
This product, for some reason, is very hard to turn open to pour the oil. Would not recommend getting this unless you are willing to use a pair of pliers along with it.

Requires Some Work, But Good Product
Other reviews are correct that say these are very difficult to turn. However, I sprayed them with some lubricant, and they now turn just fine. They're still a little stiff, but they loosen up over time. I do wonder if they would have loosened up after having motor oil flow through them. I think it's better for them to be a little too tight than a little too loose. Also, one funnel that I ordered was not assembled correctly. I had to take it apart (by screwing it onto a bottle of oil and pulling up hard on the tube.) I snapped it back on correctly, and now it works fine. After lubricating them and correctly reassembling the one, I have no complaints about this product. I'm not sure what a "standard" bottle of oil is, but they fit fine on our oil bottles (Aeroshell W100), which look to me like standard 1 quart bottles. I also agree that there is no other product out there like this one; we've looked. They used to carry these at Wal Mart, but then they stopped. We were so happy to find them on Amazon. We use them to put oil in our fleet of aircraft at our flight school.

Consistently cracks from a manufacturing defect
I bought this FloTool as a replacement for an exact same one that came with my airplane when I bought it from the previous owner. The one that came with my plane had a "L" shaped crack about midway down the barrel. I assumed it was from a lot of usage by the previous owners. It worked great if not for the crack. So I ordered a replacement and I kept it in the cargo compartment of the plane for use if needed while traveling. After just six months, an identical crack appeared in the new one, same size and same shape. I had only used it twice since purchasing it.

Worked fine
Other reviews noted that it is difficult to turn the valve. This was true for me until the first time I used it Then there was no problem turning it.When you open it the connection to the oil bottle tightens so there is no chance for a mishap. When I closed it I held the bottle connection. There was no problem fitting the oil bottle.I liked it so much I am buying a second one to replace one from another manufacturer.

Not Perfect But Best No Spill Tool
Have tried other adapters for pouring oil into engines with lousy results. This is the only one I've found that does the job. Only flaw is the tool turns too stiff between Open & Close. You have to hold the part threaded on the bottle securely or it comes loose from the bottle.

Hidden crack!
I purchased two of these spouts. When I peeled the sticker off the side, it exposed several cracks in the plastic that traveled around nearly the entire spout. This is either poor quality control or flat out deception. It's very suspicious that the cracks would be beneath the sticker. I've contacted the manufacturer about a replacement.
