I really like these files, they are much like you would expect from any file in size and texture. For me the thing that set them apart was the designs on each file. It is always nice to have something to look at. However this is where the flaw in their beautiful files lies. The part of the file that has the decorations on them is painted so the texture is not that of a file and when trying to shape my names it was a little difficult trying to be accurate when I could not pinpoint exactly where the shaving would occur.I did take one of the larger shaping blocks and rub it up against the file to remove some of that smooth texture and although the results are better they are still not as good as the plain solid colored files.In all fairness I have not used all of the files just looked at them and they seem the same. The file I am using is the one with flowers all over it.Overall I am going to give them a 7.5, on function I would have rated lower but on price I would have gone higher. Hope this helps you.
