I've been buying borscht for over 40 years and often bought Manischewitz brand, but these borscht bottles were awful. This was my first time buying online. Despite saying "borscht with beets" right on the label, the only beets inside looked like tiny brownish grains of sand and in a brownish liquid rather than the rich vibrant beet color we know borscht usually is. The taste was bland. I'm used to actual pieces of beets in borscht or at least stick like shredded pieces of beets, but neither were found in this product--just tiny sand size pieces of what I imagine are beets. So disappointing.

Excellent, great flavor

Serving size is 1cup. Contains 23 grams added sugar and 670 mg sodium. Pretty high. With all that sugar it tastes scary good, like a case of sugar addiction coming on. Guess I’ll look for a recipe. Too bad.
