Fit My New Ego LM2150SP
While I've had great experiences with various Ego products in the past, my brand-new 21-inch Ego LM2150SP mower arrived with a broken handle clamp, which made it difficult to keep it running.Ego does not do a very good job in showing all parts with accurate part numbers for their mowers and I actually wound up ordering something from one of their "authorized vendors" that wasn't even a clamp, much less, the right part.I found this part here and ordered it, even though the vendor thought it would not fit my model and tried to sell me the entire section, which I didn't need.I was concerned about whether this was the "left" or "right" clamp and never got an answer about this, but when I finally removed the broken clamp, I was relieved to see it was identical to this one.To remove the broken clamp, I used an old drill bit that was about the same diameter of the rod that holds the clamp in place. I placed the bit at the end where the spring was located and tapped it using a hammer until it slowly "replaced" the rod. This kept the old clamp and spring from falling away and allowed me to eventually just pull the old rod out with my fingers. There is another piece that sits atop of the clamp. There is a black side that appears to fit against the inside of the handle and you'll need to hold it in place when aligning the new clamp.Be sure to take note of how the old spring fits into the notched end of the clamp, but it appears to fit only in one way. You'll want to tap the rod back into the new clamp starting at the end where the spring is so it won't fall out. This really should be a very easy thing to do and it's a shame that Ego does not have anything to show how to replace this.

Clearly a weak point on the LM2156SP-2
My LM2156SP-2 arrived new out of the box with one of these clips broken. I ordered a replacement (along with a backup) and swapped it out in just a couple of minutes. This is clearly a weak point on the mower. All that inward/outward pressure from the handle on just a small plastic pin, and inside a metal hole with sharp edges. I wouldn't be surprised if this is something that will have to be replaced every year or two. After about a dozen uses on my 1/4 acre I can already see wear against the side of the pin on both clips. Definitely should have been a metal pin or a different design altogether.

LM2156SP-2 arrived with this broken
Like many others my LM2156SP-2 arrived a few months ago with this broken. They must have been put on broken. EGO sent the wrong replacement part. Since it took days to get them on the phone I'll just buy one since others said it will fit. This part really needs to be made stronger as its a very tiny plastic piece and I don't see how it will hold up with the stresses.

Fit my new LM2156SP Ego Mower
Like so many others here, my brand new LM2156SP arrived with both of the pins on these hinges broken. So when I would try to mow, the handle would slide in and the mower would automatically shut off. Super annoying! Like someone else mentioned, they should have designed this differently or used metal parts that wouldn't break, especially for something like this. This clip will fit either left or right side, they are identical. It was pretty easy to replace, I just knocked out the pin holding it in with a hammer and an awl. Anything similar like that would work easily enough.

Correct part to fix mower
My friend's mower started turning itself off because the plastic pin in the center of this clip broke off when someone tried to force the clip shut without aligning it correctly. Replacing the clip fixed the problem. Be careful not to lose the spring or metal hinge pin you replace the clip; those aren't included here. The metal hinge pin is held in place by friction and can be easily forced out using a punch.
