Well Balanced Compromise
The PowerBlock Travel Bench does a decent job of balancing portability, durability & price. Engineered to a price-point, the bench does have one fault that loses it one star. The single metal foot is not plastic shrouded, so it will dent or scratch soft wood floors. This is obviously a cost decision by the designers, as it would probably require a custom molded plastic piece versus standard caps already available for metal tubing. Make sure you add a rubber mat, or at least a piece of cardboard to your equipment list when using the bench.Size wise, as a flat bench it is entirely adequate at 40" long. I'm 6' and have no trouble using it for supine flys, rows, or tricep kickbacks, presses, etc. I have no clue why other reviewers are complaining about the size being inadequate. It is not a luxurious commercial bench like you would use at a fitness club. That was not its intended purpose.Portability is excellent considering the capacity of the bench. I take this bench to various parts of the house depending upon where I want to work out, and the folding legs help keep the profile smaller and prevent wall/furniture damage. Getting the bench through doorways is a breeze too. It does actually fit under my bed, but I doubt that would be the case for most folks that have a metal frame with box spring. It only compacts down to an 8" height - and most people only have 4-6" under their bed.The width 9" and height 15" is also a little narrower and shorter than I think most people would like, but it's an ok trade-off for the portability and storage aspect. The bench easily fits in the trunk of a compact car like a Civic or Corolla, or even behind a pick up truck seat. The "clever" incline feature isn't that great though, but it is better than nothing. As other reviews have noted, propping up the T leg side can improve the angle and get you closer to 45 degrees. This bench should be purposed in mind as really a straight bench with folding legs. The manufacturer rates maximum load capacity (person + weights) as 500 lbs. I think this should be good enough for 99.9% of everyone out there. If you need more, than you're probably already a live-in at a commercial gym.The instruction sheet claimed it was Made in USA, but a sticker on the frame said Made in China. Fit and finish are very good, and the pad is stiff and supportive. Quality wise, compared to the Amazon Basics bench, the PowerBlock Travel is nicer and sturdier overall - and is probably worth the cost premium. If you need to hide or move your bench constantly, than the PowerBlock Travel is an excellent compromise.

Quality Made Bench!
This bench is a quality made item. The padding and covering is high end as are the steel tubing, welds, assembly and general construction. Well worth the money! Thank you.

A Solid Choice for Those With Limited Space
I have been using the 50lb adjustable dumbbells (which are terrific once you get past the fact that they kind of look like toasters) and had been eyeing this portable bench for quite some time. When the price dropped by about $30 or so I took the plunge. For what it is, it's a solid bench especially for someone like me with limited space at home. It works great as a standard bench, although if you want to use it for incline bench press I recommend placing a standard-sized cinder block under the legs by your head so the widest side of the cinder block is on the ground. This gives an angle closer to that in a gym while keeping the bench stable. For reference, I am 6'2" and about 175lbs.Pros:Very stableRelatively lightweightComfortable paddingEasy to fold up and store when not in useCons:Very disappointed when I turned the bench over to see a Made In China sticker. I'm not necessarily against buying items made in China (hello, smartphone), but as the dumbbells are stamped "Made in USA", I expected to see the same on the bench. Alas, it wasn't so.I am curious to see how this holds up across several months of regular use, so will update my review in a few.

Minimalist home gym
I have a small studio and a tiny corner in it for lifting weights. I tried to resist purchasing more bulky equipment- I started doing DB presses on the floor then on an aerobic step. Finally I bought this bench. I chose it over the cheaper alternatives because I liked that it is minimal and could be turned into an incline. In incline mode it is stable as long as you aren't moving around too much or wobbling. Folding the legs out is kind of a pain- you have to fish the small rod through a hole which is tricky sometimes. If I could avoid a bench I would, but for my needs this was a good choice. Overall I'm pleased.
