Suffering from a sleep disorder for years now, I have researched and tried lots of products. At night I suffer hypnagonic jerks, and I jump from the bed because I feel like I choke (not related to acid reflux / sleep apnea. I know that because I went though all the exams and those were discarded). That + somnambulism made my nights a living hell, I was always tired and sad. My doctor recommended I start taking Tryptophan (in my case, and am not suggesting anyone to take it without consulting a doctor, I have to add one 500mg pill every week until I reached 2 grs (4 500 mg pill) and I have to say this treatment has improved my life and my sleep. I only drink decaf and don't eat anything before 5 p.m. I still have episodes but they are minor in comparison. Important: I know not every tryptophan brand works the same, other have more ingredients, for me those other don't work as well as this brand does. I panic when I don't find it available. I called it my Happy Pill, because it boosts seritonin which I seem to be low on sometimes, but taking too often seem to lower libido. So much so I started taking the Maca I bought on Amazon, that fixed that, but I stopped taking the L Tryptophan. I also learned that L-Trptophan require some Turmeric extract to prevent possible damage, so since I had that all ready, I upped the use of that, but then I found out unless you take a little black pepper with the turmeric or cook it with oil, it is almost inactive.

Least expensive way to purchase and received quickly--every body is different, but 2 capsules a night are allowing me to get to sleep much more quickly and get slowly withdraw from a prescribed drug that was affecting my alertness and cognition the next day.
