This handlebar extender mount is considerably more expensive than the other ones available, but I'm glad I chose this one and would recommend it.It is very solid, high quality and doesn't twist and drop down at all under load/vibration. The collars are plastic rather than rubber, but to my surprise they are totally effective and don't damage the handlebars. The extender bar, meanwhile, is aluminium and nicely finished.It's a little fiddly to install. The biggest problem is getting the extender bar into the smaller compression fittings, which aren't open clamps like the handlebar side. They're very tight and it's aluminium-on-aluminium, so you have to find a way to cautiously wedge them open quite far otherwise the bar won't slide freely and will get very badly scratched as you twist it into place. I used allen keys as wedges, but even then managed to end up with score marks on the lovely bar. The damage is bad enough to annoy me, but not bad enough to return and go through it all again.Ultimately, it looks good and provides space for lights etc. on handlebars with only a small straight section such as trekking/comfort bars. There's a lot of profit in that price, but it is a good product.

Good quality, was more difficult to fit then expected, hence 4 stars. Would be easier to fit on straight handle bars.

Looking forward to trips on the bike now. With this I got the light higher up, and more pace.

A faff to install as the bit that clamps onto the handlebar is a separate bit. The hinge is also weak. When tightening the bolts, the hinge popped apart.

These extender bars are easy to fit to most handlebar types and provide that bit extra Realestate to increasingly busy bicycle cockpits. The velo bar is lightweight but strong. It provides a flat straight bar approx. 22.3cm in length for mounting light, phone or cyclo computer without over cluttering the handlebar itself and overcomes the problems of mounting brackets onto curved bars.I have now mounted one of these on my hybrid bike and my electric assist bike.Easy to fit with the supplied Allen key and spacers.

This is the 2nd set I own. I did try a cheaper model, but the difference in quality and practically for half the price wasn’t worth it. I know nearly £20 is a lot, but I recommend these.
