Fenix products have always giving me excellent results!!
Reviews are awesome, because you'll get a variety of thoughts. I have an older 600 lumen light [w/original batters from 2001] was very pleased with the quality, plus longevity of it. Ever since then, I wanted an extremely bright flashlight-tried to purchase other brands and they said they were 2000 lumens yet my original Fenix light was much brighter!! So, I bought this one because of it's compactness... So many people stated it gets warm/hot, YES it does, HOWEVER, what do you expect with a light producing this many lumens [still doubtful, of it's real capacity] Utill I got it... WOWZIERS.. extremely content and happy with it [secrete, if you want your battery to last "charge wise' when you are done using it-unscrew the lens, till it's loose-no battery contact-battery has no way to discharge while sitting]I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS LIGHT-IT'S SIMPLE & RELIABLE... THANK YOU

Tested the lumens on it and it nearly matched advertised level. Battery drains fast in turbo mode, but the little led is very helpful as it doesn't dim until it hits the nominal voltage.

Excellent Product.
A little bulky, and when you use it with batteries it's not nearly as bright. Other than that, it's the brightest compact combat light I've ever owned. If I can find an attachment & pressure switch for a long gun I'm buying another one.
