Very convenient to use coffee filter
For me it’s worked wonderfully. I drink watered down coffee like an Americano. It saves me time too as there are too many parts to clean when using a coffee machine. This is just one simple filter which can be rinsed and it’s ready for next use. The product quality is good.

Excellent quality but...
This is great Hario quality as usual. Especially wonderful if you run out of the paper filters, you can still make coffee!I am deducting one star only because it makes a very light cup in my opinion compared to the paper. You have to get just the right grind to make it work. The paper is much more forgiving. It is still a fine cup of coffee and great if you want to be more eco friendly, no paper waste!

An excellent tool for pour over coffee.
I only make espresso for the last 30 years but my 50 year old espresso maker now needs parts I cannot get here. I bought Hario paper filters and dripper to get started in pourover. It’s OK but having to empty the paper filter before putting the filter in paper trash is a bit fiddly. This dripper didn’t really appeal to this old traditionalist but I gave it a go and glad I did. The same grind size, the same 4 minute brew time, and a noticeable increase in clarity. One tip for those refining their pourover technique- absolutely get a gooseneck kettle. It doesn’t have to be a 10000r super fancy one, my 1500r one does just fine..Very, very happy. This will hold me for a year or so until I can travel and buy parts for the old La Pavoni.

Average
Bought this after seeing the rave reviews, after using it a few times I am quite underwhelmed. Not a bad product by any means but certainly does not justify the price or the hype in my opinion.Pros:-Convenient to use in situations where you cannot have an actual coffee machine-Does a decent job of brewing coffee and has a permanent filter (with some caveats; see below)-Can probably be a good solution for travelCons:-Requires a lot of patience to slowly pour boiling water while watching it percolate through the filter-The bottom fits on only wider cups/vessels, which might not be always handy-The permanent filter is good but lets through a lot of solids (much more than my cheap Panasonic coffee machine's nylon filter) so the use of a paper filter might still be required, or perhaps very coarsely ground coffee-The quality is impeccable, but still feels rather delicate and probably not something that justifies the premium price

Find Your Perfect Grind
An excellent hassle-free way to enjoy your cup of pour-over coffee. Easy to clean, I use baking soda and a toothbrush now and then to give it a more thorough cleaning when needed. Do make sure you find your perfect grind for this brewing method, though: if the grind is too fine, coffee will clog the fine mesh and it may take forever to get a cup of coffee, which will turn cold by the time the cup is full.

Highly Recommended for Pour Over Coffee
I have been using this reusable Hario coffee filter for 18 months and would recommend it to anyone looking to make pour over coffee without using a paper or cloth filter. If you like the pour over method, as I do, you will find this product easy to use and easy to clean. You can swirl the coffee-water mixture conveniently with the handle fixed to the steel mesh filter. The base, which attaches to the cone-shaped dripper, is of generous size and can be placed on big cups, mugs or carafes. It sits easily on a large French-press beaker into which I let the coffee drip. My only reservation about this product is that the filter no longer fits tightly to the base. When I agitate the water-soaked coffee grounds or shake and tap the cone to create a strong bed of coffee, the base separates from the body and I have to fix it back in place. Buy this reusable coffee filter in the knowledge that you may have to replace it in two years or less, depending on usage.

Magic
I am a coffee connoisseur. I have several kinds of coffee makers (manual) from the best manufacturers in the world like Bialetti. This just a plastic receptacle with a metal sieve. I bought it for easy coffee making in the office. In principle not much different from a 100 rupees strainer from the market. But there is some japanese witchcraft involved. The coffee is fantastic. Comparable to or better that the best south indian drip. It must be something to do with the geometry of the cone and the mesh size of the sieve which the meticlous japanese at haribo must have agonised over before arriving at. Its expensive for what it is, but is worth if it fits your purpose.

Versatile and good looking
I've been using his dripper for a couple of months, twice a day and I'm more than happy with how it fits over any jug, cup. It's easy to clean, great to look at and effective at it's job. Expensive but you can see why.Update after 4+ years of twice a day usage-The base is bit loose from the conical portion but as effective as it was on day 1.
